I’ve been in my current house since 2009. We just had the best neighborhood Halloween I’ve ever seen. Lots of people walking around and lots of homes hosting. It’s definitely not as universal as when I was a kid and we’ve had some rough rough years but the ebb and flow sometimes has a peak. Cheers everyone and happy Halloween.

Or hood is usually dead so we went to grannies old neighborhood by a park, we, I mean the kids did pretty good. Then we came back and they hit like 4 houses on our street. Our new neighbor was handing out full size bars!!! I was in the backyard with the dogs and you could hear kids “NO WAY!! Full size?!”

I lost track counting at 35 trick-or-treaters . . . cool to see so many young kids back in the neighborhood. Remarkably they were all very respectful . . . some great costumes too !

all the porch lights were off on my block - including mine. But i'm on a hill & all houses are set back, too much work for kids today so nobody bothers turning on the light.

0% raise here this year. "Covid hardships". But they did give a near-full bonus, which ended up being what I would've netted over the course of the year with the typical raise. Meh.

    :bananadead::confused::boom:

    I guess I'm unpopular.

I'm straight up taking one, all of thanksgiving week, IDGAF. 9 days off isn't enough away, but they also close things down from Christmas Eve to NYE (paid), so more time off right around the corner.

If all works out and @wandering_boy is able to get a part out to me some time during turkey day(ish), the truck may have a small facelift between those two PTO ranges

Well, said I wasn't going to do it but neighbor offered us a grip of cash for our '12 and I found a mint low-mile deal on a '20 Limited we couldn't pass up.
Main non-camping commuter secondary car, MPG and killer audio system I don't need to install was key. 11spk JBL and 36city/35hwy Should do it.
If all goes well, may seal the deal this weekend... Not sure I love the three-tone interior brown/black/tan, but ... hey, small detail.
The latest gen looks like it should be a Chrysler product from the front, or a Volvo? Weird. Man I hate front license plate holders.

Hell yeah. I'm nearly maxed out on vacation again and figured I'll take the whole Thanksgiving week off but we already get Thursday/Friday off.

They just announced we're closing down from 12/20 to 1/3. I can only accrue 240 hours and I'm sitting at 212 but get 16/month. It's an asshole thing to complain about but I nearly can't use it fast enough, I took 2 weeks off in June and then every Wednesday in July.

My mother’s new Venza? Fantastic. Albeit not the look of a car I’d want. But it fucking feels and drives amazing

I think I'm going to buy a snorkel. I really like the new low profile ones for land cruiser that mimics the TRD pro

Been analyzing the bank statement the last few days figuring where I could cut costs... saw lots of food charges. DQ, BK, Chinese buffet, etc... usually $20-$30 a pop. Once a day. Did some math.

Went to Wallace worl... grabbed a tote, and then headed to the food dept to do a size study.
    20211102_062142.jpg

$80 later I've got food for two-three weeks including microwave safe bowls specially for my food box. Ramen noodles, cambells pot pie bowls, dumplins, and fruit snack packs for when I'm peckish on breaks.

Dr. Pepper dranks in bottle format for micro-plastic ingestion as if me breathing micro plastics from work for 11 hours a day wasn't bad enough lol

Now, before one of yall say "Hey, that shit ain't good for you!" I know. It's cheap. Not health food.
