Im over 1000 miles from sedona. Aint skeered, just needed to trade roadtrip money for bumper and fender money.

    Good info @daveeasa
I don't like all the tourist stuff but I'm stuck along for the ride with the family. They like some of the tourist stuff. Next time I come here will just be my wife and I and none of the tourist stuff. I hate treating a place this beautiful like Disneyland

The only Samoan I know is Jimmy Superfly Snuka. :D

My little brother would jump off the coffee table with a flying elbow into my back to copy him when I was lying down on the rug to watch WWF on the TV.

Damn, that was a long time ago.

We all have such fond memories of copying our heros on wwf. We had bunk beds and treated that like the top rope. It was all fun and games until the neighbor brought a metal chair in. It wasn't the impact that hurt, but his hair getting stuck in the chair and ripping his scalp out.

My greatest hit was while my two older brothers were wrestling I jumped in and did my best shake rattle and roll ala honky tonk man and smashed an acoustic guitar over my brothers head. I ran like hell after that, the sound was terrifying and him getting up right away was too!

Have they opened up the lavaflow area from the 2019 eruption? I’d like to hike over that, and bring home a chunk of the newest bit of america.

i cover a cave opening with lavarock because i can open it easily. Frogs live down in the bottom.

Took the weekend off from 'life', decided it was time to focus on "my life" for a change.
one of my many ignored projects is the Prius which has been down since June. Gotta get it running before the brine starts getting sprayed, get the truck tucked in the garage for the winter. So yesterday I pulled apart the hybrid battery again. Today I took a good look-see at all the cables & decided 1 of 4 isn't worth cutting costs. Found the cables I need on Ebay - and every one of them has corrosion issues if you look really carefully.
Out of annoyance I took a part # from a listing & searched it & ended up on Toyota Part Deal. Little hard to find, but I did - found all the cables, new in stock, 3 of 4 were cheaper than listing price on the bay of E. 1 was like $2 higher.
It's the last thing. It's gotta be it. I had some bad cells, but perhaps not bad enough to replace, but I've previously replaced them since June. It's gotta be the corrosion in the cables tripping the 'your car is dead' lights. Gottabe. Got some exterior house painting done, medical appointment scheduled - me stuff.

Anyone else out there forgetting to watch out for themselves? Feels nice to make progress on your own life for a change.

Oh, not that I'm counting.... but 6 more weeks until I retire from Job 2.
Been 15 years since I had only one job. Looking forward to experimenting with this "free nights" concept i hear about.
maybe that will be the key to chores during the week so fun can happen on weekends? Hope so.

    I'd be lying if I said I wasn't.
Progress, I think, is the key to getting out of that funk.

We're definitely not getting any younger, that's for sure. But trying to find "enough" time all at once to finish things is a bear sometimes when you're down to one vehicle. I really, really want to finish out my stereo in the truck, get the amp and subs installed. But trying to find a consecutive 3-5 hours over a 2 day period to do everything I want is impossible it seems. Then something is always breaking at the house. Had to replace the water valve in the fridge. Then one of the kids broke the front clip/security device on one of their bathroom vanity drawers. Had to wire in a new 4-way outlet in the kitchen for the wife. Install a new exhaust fan in the bathroom. It's always something.

Doesn't leave a lot of time for the rest of it. Like, ourselves.
