    @FrenchToasty

Have you had to turn the heater on in your truck yet? I took mine to work the other night just to run it for awhile and it got down to 64* (lol) and I turned mine on for the drive home. Felt very nice once up to temp with the new rad, t-stat, etc.

    Lol! But I was cold...

Edit: funny thing is I'm thinking about riding the bagger to work tonight and the forecast is for 46* overnight and it has no heater except for what rises off the motor. Go figure. Haha!

We’re leaving the windows down at night and the AC hasn’t kicked on in the house, it’s great

1st day at the new job today. Orientation was forever long, didn't even get otj till 2. You know aaaaaallllll those Milwaukee power tools I own? Can't use em. They provide all the power tools. Eh, whatever. I ran into 4 people today that I knew, and all of em talked me up pretty good, and were surprised to see me at a new job.

This place is safety, safety, safety. I can get used to it, but it's stupid. They put me on a 250k sq ft school that's about 10 weeks from being done and gave me a 1st yr and 2nd yr apprentice. That's about 2 more apprentices than I had at the other place. Shitty thing is, I don't think I'll have a work truck. I gotta find something to do with 2 10's now...

Do you have to drive your personal?
That took a while for me to get used to, no more take home vehicle.
It sounds like it’s a different environment for you, which might be really good, just take it as it comes and don’t ruffle any feathers………this week.

Yup. Ironman is in DD mode and he is definitely not ready for that. But, the SHO is overheating. And I can't put a toolbelt on the motorcycle.

It's kinda a different environment, but kinda the same. More people, bigger job, less "high ranking bad ass".

    Feathers will be ruffled......

Well boys. Almost a year to the day of me losing the little dachshund, a little 4lb pup has landed in my house hold. We found him in the street a few days ago hobbling around. Contacted police, caught him and he was taken to the humane society. Call the next day inquiring about him and found out he’s going to have to have his right front leg amputated. Surgery was yesterday and he’s home today. He’s scared and confused, but hopefully he adjusts quickly. [IMG][IMG]

My bro in law’s dog is a tripod. Happy as can be. A front leg is a bit harder to lose but the best thing about dogs is that they don’t waste a moment of life worrrying about the past.

We still have the AC on at home. (hasn't kicked on in a while)
I drove to work this morning in the 911 with the windows down. (51*F)
I almost had to kick on the defroster as the fog was starting to condense on the outside of the windshield. I elected to just go faster so it would run. :D

@empty_lord do you know if any 1st gen Taco interior parts fit T100? I'm particularly interested in the plastic manual/4x4 shifter console bezel with the side cupholder and leather shifter boots.

It'll fit. If you believe in yourself and try hard, anything will fit. Direct bolt up? highly unlikely between models for specific trim pieces to bolt up. But there are a few that do.

A proper application of heat and leverage and you can make anything fit.
    Sometimes lube helps as well.
    YMMV

That's about where I'm at with it too. Lol
But I've personally seen others and myself take certain interior parts from 80s and 90s 4runners and pickups and have em directly bolt into tacos like they were meant for them

This is the most wonderful time of the year. (in IN)
Low 50s at night, 70s during the day.
September though mid-October is where it's at.
In another week, the rain and chilly weather will come in earnest and it's going to suck here until mid-April.

Its hard to not want to drive the fun vehicles in that sort of weather. They always run a lot better in cold. My GTI feels like it picks up 20 horsepower if temps drop below 50.

For maybe an accumulated hour per day since Sunday I've been planning what to do with the old beetle. I'm going to do something I never thought I would do and pick up one of those old oil bath air filters for it. A lot of downsides to ditching them for an open filter, I never actually had the original kind. Once I get the car working I'll try both options and see what makes more sense. I am starting to like the idea of a very stock appearing motor that has some performance hidden in it.

I'm reasonably sure 'reliable 200hp' and Beetle are mutually exclusive unless you dump a Subaru motor in there.

I meant reliable in the sense of not blowing up the engine.

Air cooled engines cant usually handle the heat and pressures required for 100hp/liter.
