Lucchese is a boot manufacturer in TX. They did a few of these custom jobs like this, the leather interiors or whatever. I'm guessing the paint is a port done by Gulf States Toyota, which does a lot of customs in the S/SE USA. You see a lot of their X-SP or whatever trucks popping up. It's possible other regional Toyota orgs are doing similar but ...

That’s pretty awesome, I’m a fan of that interior for sure. That 2 Tone on the outside idk. Thanks @shifty`

that article explains why I’ve never seen those trucks.

I mean, while I don't dig the two-material, specifically the ostrich (the rest is awesome), I think the truck is at a superb pricepoint given the condition and mileage.

    EDIT: And it's nicely optioned!

Dig the Lou-casey leather. They make a fine boot. The two tone is the bees knees - 1995 domestic truck themed, not the business anymore though. Not a bad price, other than I'm 98% sure the frame on this will be swiss cheese. Engine bay picks show all the tell tale signs. Also there's no "rust free" talk or pics of the frame. And it's from Cleveland.

Looks like the exhaust pipe is fairly dented in a few places, despite it being tucked up in where one would think it'd be safe. Other than that, dunno!

Cleveland TN which is just outside Chattanooga in the south end (ENE), but yup, I agree on the rusty stuff in engine pic, would leave me wondering also. No telling where it spent its time prior. Clearly started in TX, I think? Would be interesting to see the CarFax and look at where it was registered every year, state-wise.

Yup. iSeeCars VIN check shows "Previously for sale in Clinton, NJ" at one of the VIN check sites. CarFax should show more details about yearly registrations so you know exactly which states, but ... I'm guessing it was a NJ/NY truck. 1 accident, 4 previous owners. Sale from NJ was in 2014, listed for $21k.

Oh and looks like I'm right - there's a ton of records showing it all over the MA, OH, CT, WI etc. area and it already had issues with frame stuff many years back so prob not eligible for frame replace?

My bad should’ve mentioned it’s Cleveland,Tn. I haven’t been by to look at it but the dealer that has it is notorious locally for buying rusty trucks from up north and passing them off in good shape. Does some shotty body work, paints over and sends it out the door.

I’d advise proceeding cautiously if anybody is serious and was interesting in buying from this dude.

I have thought about an SR20 in a hardbody. I believe the KA motor from the hardbody is the same motor used in American 240sx, should be a reasonable swap since the Japanese 240 comes with the SR20. The trouble is I always awaken from those dreams and remember I live in California.

You could rwd convert a fwd sr20 (na) from an infiniti g20 and get it BAR tested. Just an fyi.

That's what I was thinking, and saw an rb25 swap into a 240. But the 240s proportions make more since. But, as we know, we don't make a lot of sense round here.

So I've been off work since last Thursday. That was my last day at the company I've been with since 6 of 10. 11 fucking years. I went and signed on with the union today but don't go to orientation at my new job till Monday. "Orientation". Like I haven't been doing this shit for 17 years. I dunno, I just feel like I'm not doing the right thing. I cleaned my van out and pulled my stereo out on Sunday and took it back to the shop. I just haven't felt right since.

Do you ever make a decision in life and just feel it isn't right? How often does it turn out right?

The union doesn't even recognize my masters license. I'm going to have to start at the bottom with a journeymans all over again. It just feels like I'm doing the wrong thing...

I'm 9 years in and thinking these thoughts every single day. It's hard to do anything for that long. Downright brutal really. Because there's always some guy (it's always a dude) at the top who makes a big mess and then those on the bottom rungs get to clean it up. Always. Such a silly game.

Change requires adapting requires time. After being somewhere 11 years, anything other than that isn’t gonna feel right until you grow into it. Even then, it will never feel the same, so don’t expect it to. Turn the page brotha. X girlfriends always look better after you break up. Stay strong and remember ‘why’. That’s my take on it anyways.

There's only 5 trucks where I work. Used to be 8 before some shit happened a few months ago. Nothing I was involved with or company issues. I'm just upset about leaving them in a bind and after such a long time.

You're not wrong. It just........doesn't seem right.

I believe the key is to be the guy at the top and make the messes. No matter how small the hill, there is someone who must sit atop it!

Someone asked my how longed I'd been at my current employer and I had to really think. 8.5 years. We grew from tiny to my side of the shop being as big as the whole shop used to be. We moved into a completely different industry and I helped with the prototype process to get us there. Lots of great memories of the hard struggle and overcoming odds and what not. The wife and I have a 3 year plan and if all goes well I'll be with my employer at least until then. After that though... There is always a time for changing.

Maybe just knowing you left it better than you found it is enough? Knowing you helped someone learn the skills they needed. That seems like a worthy goal and takeaway.

I may have had an extended cab Green and Tan two tone stepside 1998 Chevrolet 350 auto 2wd with the third door. Ordered it brand new and had to wait 6 weeks for it to come in. Paid $22,655 for that truck.

FWIW, I've gone back to a prior employer once. It didn't work out the 2nd time for roughly the same reasons. Wound up walking over about $2k in salary difference between my number and what my boss was willing to offer. I've been asked to come back to other jobs several times, and my current employer almost got one old timer back but didn't quite close the deal.

Then again, sometimes couples make it work on a 2nd marriage. It's rare but it can happen. Both sides need to want it though.
