sounds like someone's old shitbox. Says rust free, I see what looks like rust on the body in most of the pictures. At least he "knows what I got". He can keep it.

I voted top right because I like the state outline. I'm hoping white wins since it will match my truck better. I bet blue will be more popular though.

Yeah when they say I know what I have... When gun classifieds say that I know exactly who I'm dealing with. It's a nice way of saying bend over because I'm not interested in selling anything. It's alright because most people aren't interested in buying anything anyway. If trying to sell my prerunner has shown me anything, people have literally no intention of buying anything and they get kicks from wasting people's time.

The fact it's hauling ass at the DP is even funnier, considering one of the more widely known meanings for "DP".

Or maybe just the license plate number.

I mean, obviously it's impacting the forum too. I think I've seen the main forum list change 3x now? At present, Gen3 has been downgraded to Gen2.5, Gen 4 became Gen3, and it couldn't be more confusing. I don't know when the PRO vs. non-PRO split happened for the 3rd (2.5?) Gen subforums.

What happens if no other Tundra forums use 2.5 notation? Who becomes the ultimate judge? How bad does it totally FUBAR results from Bing and Google if such a change is made, especially for 3rd gen people who now must pick off whether their 3rd gen search results are really for 2022+ or 2014-2021? Gen2 people's searches will get borked also, mixed in with Gen2.5. You can't go back and change all the old content using the old nomenclature.

I'm glad I'm not a moderator, it's already a thankless enough job. Glad I'm not stuck in the melee the new 2022 is causing! But then again, I've got the best generation Tundra, not a short-bus sized monster, and that's allllllriiiiight.

It is amusing in all the sub forums. Kinda like how 1st gen always complains about aftermarket "whatever"......

The decision was made since Toyota themselves called the 2022 Tundra 3rd gen. This wasn't always the case until recently. Even some big search engines have changed the generations of the Tundra.....FYI. So we followed suit.

To this point though, I do feel like there's a definitive split somewhere in there. Unfortunately, there's no clear place to put the split? Due to cosmetic changes? When VVT was introduced? The line is blurred, could go +/- 1yr on either side of '03.

Yeah, that was confusing as hell for me in the video(s) coverage. Totally get why you guys are making the changes, and just want to say thanks for staying on top of it, not sure how much anyone else is. For y'alls sake, I hope no more nomenclature surprises are waiting.

I find it so odd, most automotive 'generations' follow a 6-8 year cycle or a half-gen cycle of 3-4 years, not sure why Toyota is muddying that up with this release? I just don't understand, but above my paygrade.

04 DCs should be 1.25 since we've got the 4sp and different gauge cluster.

I keep debating on buying the smarttap and upgrading to LEDs turns/brakes but I have to disable my drls right? Is is just a plug to unplug?

Can't speak to the DRL disable. I'm using SmartTap without disabling DRL and it works fine. But after replacing my headlights with brand new OEM assemblies, I don't see myself moving away from halogens any time soon. Brand new bulbs should be good for several tens of thousands of miles. I also don't want to need to deal with the hassle of figuring out whether I'll lose my fogs etc.

Guess I could try it and see. I would stay with halogens as well.
