Yes. But it takes less than 5 minutes to make an adjustment and then do a 'caster swing' to see if the changes made were effective. Once you've done it a couple times you should have an idea of how much movement is needed to get it close. I dunno, it's not really a big deal to me.

But I've dealt with a lot of suspension. My old car had 3 points of camber adjustment and 2 points of caster adjustment. Lots of variables to play with.

Our trucks cam style adjusters are pretty easy to work with. At least compared to the older shim style upper a-arm setups.

@assassin10000 I don't know what to tell you. Maybe just lack of motivation to do it per the request or not spending more than 5 minutes to adjust it?

I even offered to pay extra but they wouldn't take the extra money beyond the $75-$95 they typically get.

Yeah, either lazy or they just don't know what they're doing and say no.

Here are my #'s. They actually IMPROVED my rubbing. I couldn't hear any rubbing today after alignment. Still not sure why I had to fight them over it but I'm happy about that.

Thats because higher caster on our suspension moves the tire forwards towards the bumper amd away from the footwell/pinch welds.

I wanna make a half inch spacer between the 2 halves of the intake manifold. Maybe hog it out of a couple sheets of 1/4” aluminum, to spray water/meth into the center of the intake runner.

    2E5E040D-D942-4145-9556-E44A2E29F4B5.jpg

Start heading up the continental divide, and fog to cool the intake flow and the manifold.

Or a 30 shot of nitrous. Anyone think im barking up the wrong thought tree, and direct port injection closer to the valves would be better?

i dont have expieriance with watermeth or n2o, but i can see benefits to both when sprayed above peak tq rpm.

Better to do it before the throttle body IMO. Gives a little more chance for atomization in the case of the water meth injection.

Unless you're going with 8 nozzles for NOS having a plate for it will lead to the center cylinders seeing more of it than the outer ones.

Yea, 8 nozzles, closer to the beginning of the individual ports instead of the ends where the valves are. Id bet the manifold could be cooled several degrees.

can ya’ll see the blue lines in the pic? Guess they should be arrows into the ports.

I agree but my caster was higher last time and rubbed. They put it at 2.8 the first time. I'm guessing the suspension must have settled which is why it started rubbing.

Perhaps you were rubbing on the bumper then? It would make sense to me.

    Ohhh. Yeah, that would work.

Anyone ever put the plastic manifold on a non-vvti motor? That would also 'help' if it would work.

Yea, and supposedly the runner valve is vacuum operated instead of computer controlled.

Are the majority of y’all reading trans temp with torque app or something like it? Anybody running a traditional gauge? If I was to go for a traditional gauge is the pan the best place for the sensor? Maybe plumb in-line before the cooler?Just trying to keep an eye on the trans health off-road.

where’s that stock sensor reading from?

Thought of that too. Nitrous to add oxidizer and cool the tract, then fuel at the valve side.

let the engine do its thing, but have a swich to just ‘make things better’ as long as the tanks have something in em. Some days water, some days whiskey.

i think the pan would be a better, more stable reading.

Best plan then to drop the pan and drill it? Or is there anywhere else I can install the probe.

Does my sealed transmission matter in this case

Im gonna see what a transmission shop would charge me to drill it. Might actually be a little out of my wheel house.

I’d assume the check plug wouldn’t be as good a reading as the pan would be?

Torque app for me. Reads both sensors on my 5sp (pan and tq converter) if you input both values.

Maybe it has a bit more negative camber than before, do you have the old sheet/specs? This would push the wheel out further and give more clearance possibly.

you shouldn’t need to drill anything, get a scan gauge or TP app like assassin said, I motor my pan or converter temps if I want.

@assassin10000 @FrenchToasty nice I was figuring on having to install a temp probe. I’ve got an edge cts2 insight on my Cummins that’s awesome and that had to have a temp sensor installed

Good to see this is gonna be easier than I thought lol

Haha the hardest and most frustrating part with the scan gauge is entering the proper code sequence, it’s a pain on that little thing. Might be easier using some of the other applications
