Man, that's a ton of money but might be worth it after the discount. I've never heard of that brand. Are the other AGM batteries not a little cheaper?

Nice. I didn't realize it was the Northstar. @FrenchToasty if you didn't already order, keep an eye on the group buys they have which include free shipping. But maybe you got a better price?

They don't honor the warranty because it wasn't bought through a store?

    @FirstGenVol

Did you upgrade to the stainless brake lines? Did you do all 4?

I did indeed. I saw you mentioned new lines and was wondering what you went with. My truck only had 3 lines. 2 up front and 1 in the back. I would assume yours is the same?

@Professional Hand Model I forgot to mention. If you don't already have 1, you'll need a flare nut wrench for this job. I think it's an 8mm.. I remember it being an odd size. I bought a set from Harbor Freight for this job. I can confirm when I get home if you want to know.

Does anyone have experience with aftermarket outer tie rods? The price difference between the higher priced aftermarket vs OEM is more than 50%, trying to save as each time I get under my truck I find more stuff that needs replacing!

Question for the group. Did Toyota actually produce some 1999 Tundras?

I see this listed a lot on 4x4 websites but I've never seen a 99 Tundra for sale.

Have you checked the cheapest Dealer's? My OEM outer tie rods were only $75-80 when I got them through Cool Springs. Apparently McGeorge is even cheaper. I don't have any experience with aftermarket units.

I’d assume as well. I was very tired last night and spoke with a rep at one of these online companies because I was confused when doing research. I had a long day and was tired, but still ordered what the rep suggested. I know it says BMW. The spec diagram from Toy suggests 4 lines. I need to go out and crawl under the truck now that I’ve had my 2nd Dark Roast. Should have held off till putting an eyeball on things.

    What kit did you install?

Interesting. I was told the only 1st gens with 2 lines in the back were the ones with VSC. I thought they didn't offer that until 05? I could definitely be wrong. I know mine only has one back there.

I ordered my lines from Wheelers Off Road.

McGeorge has them for $51 each, so not too bad. I guess I'll bite that bullet

I replaced mine in May of 2019 with TRW models JTE1354 and JTE1356 and they seem to be holding up just fine after putting 10K miles on them.

Probably the same reason NAPA wanted to know what engine I had in order to sell me wiper blades. LOL

I’m debating adding a 2nd gen taco bed box to the truck... shouldn’t be impossible to do

I’ve never done one. But it’s much easier to just take the battery back to a store, vs trying to ship it back to get a replacement, and be out a battery while it’s being warranted

Toytec is trying to figure out how to sell me just the 700lb coil for my boss coilovers since I already have em with the 650s and have added armor and plan to add a winch eventually. I wonder if there are any other comparable options for 700lb coils that would fit

Might just have to save for some 2.5 coilovers like kings

So toytec wants about $250 for the pair of 700lb coils shipped. Not sure if that's a decent price or not. Seems steep.

Dang. By the time you buy those and pay to have the new springs installed, you could have paid about the same for Kings.

It also appears the 27 marine battery doesn’t have the posts in the proper orientation:(

If your seats are like mine you also might have a good amount of space just begging for a secret compartment. If I was handy with upholstery I'd be doing it.
