@FirstGenVol was moving a little slow this morning so he didn’t get to join in on some extra credit bleeding with @Tundra2 and I.

Green Mountain sells them through their dealer network. I'm sure you can find them online but that's where mine was purchased.

I've heard they fit other pellet grills but they're made specifically for the Green Mountain ones.

Oh yeah, but I'm glad they did that. I suppose they couldn't do spacers because they had to stay comparable in method.

While you can get it repaired, you can also use this as an opportunity to get a windshield with a blackout area to hide the wiring routed behind the $10 plastic cover piece ... (Surely such a thing exists?)

I picked up an auto-dimming mirror w/compass on eBay that I installed a year or more ago but never wired up. I have a harness for it. I also have Toyota's mirror hardwire kit for our trucks. Just haven't gotten off my ass to hardwire it. Need to hardwire it and my dash cam up eventually. But, yeah, guess I'll be slapping some black tape or paint on the window to conceal the wire running under the cover.

PS - in the event you need the Double Cab full factory harness to support the power mirror, with leads for temp sensor near the radiator, and all that other good stuff in between, I have one. I bought it several years ago on eBay, thinking I'd end up with a DC truck, ended up with AC instead.

    Hey y'all

My MIL is prepping to sell her 8yr old low-mile VW CC Sport+, aiming for Toy/Lex sport sedan for her next buy, 2018-2019 or newer.

I remember chatter on here the last year or two about what to look out for and 'best buy' for Lexus specifically, @empty_lord I think you participated and offered up mech-savvy input.

Can't seem to find now, several commented Anyone have opinions or advice to share?

The water level is much lower than usual since it's been a dry year. The river is usually ice cold and gushes over the trail creating a nice little waterfall. I'll take any water I can find when it's 100+ though.

Any of you fine folks have any experience with tendinitis?
My right elbow has been [at varying levels] killing me for weeks.
    I don't play tennis.
I'm reasonably sure I gave it a little tweak carrying a car battery and then lifting it to the counter at work and it just hasn't recovered. **Picture palming a basketball. That's how I usually carry these batteries.

I've got some sort of witchcraft oil concoction on it right now and I'm 6 Ibuprofens deep since 0800 this morning. I really pissed it off yesterday.
Looking for a magic bullet to hold me over until bionic arms become a thing.

Regardless whether tennis/golf elbow, it's a repetitive injury strain. To quash it, you first must stop the activity causing the strain. Which side of the elbow it's on dictates whether it's golf or tennis elbow. Once you stopped the activity, whether it be fapping or sports, or sport fapping, you need to start the PT/recovery process to get back to normal again.

I had a 6mo stint with it in 2017-2018. Mine stemmed from - as stupid as this will sound - a day's worth of helping a neighbor chainsaw a 60+ year old pecan tree off his house. The repetitive swinging of it caused the strain.

That could've been the end of it, but at that time of year I was also doing all the LV cabling at a new office. The desk they had me sitting in during the lengthy 6mo job had a monitor mounted too low with a seat that sat too high, and the position of my arm made the tendonitis worse.

You can technically go to a doctor and get a cortisone shot to take the swelling down which may help you get past it, but that's $$ and time. I instead called my ortho doc and he provided a treatment plan, told me to come in if I don't see improvement in 30-60 days. It was:

Get a Simien elbow brace from any online store, A-Zon had them in a 2pk. Read the directions to understand whether it's tennis or golf elbow, how you adjust and wear varies for each. Watch a video online to understand how to adjust it properly, there's plenty out there.

Wear that brace daily as much as possible. Take Aleve or Ibuprofen at least once a day. Getting swelling under control is key.

He also emailed me a sheet of physical therapy exercises I could do at-home and asked me to spend at least 5-15 minutes per day on those. At first I was doing those maybe 2-3 days per week. After 3wks, no improvement so I switched to daily and within 4-5 days I finally saw improvement. Do the exercises. They work.

To find exercises, Google for: PT exercises for golf elbow / PT exercises for tennis elbow

You'll find pages like this one: https://www.healthline.com/health/fitness-exercise/tennis-elbow-rehab#supination-with-a-dumbbell
