My buddies inlaws in potsville,pa had some weird foods, but it was all good. Halupkies (cabbage rolls) and city chicken (which was pork) stand out in my memory.

Not a huge fan of cabbage but city chicken is pretty good. Got some in the fridge for dinner this week actually.

Good morning guys. When I did the front brakes on the Rav4 last week, I didn't know I was supposed to order those anti rattle clips(first time doing brakes on her). I just re-used the old ones. Should I let it ride or buy new ones?

Wait for em to squeal…i would be concerned about rattling pads, tho. Like, if they get half an inch to dance around in, that would be concerning.

Assuming they're spring steel, should be good for another round of pads.
Keep an eye on it though like @Sirfive mentioned.

Mounted the roof tracks and sealed with self leveling lap sealant, fender warshers worked well. Mounted the lower portion of the towers, but I’ll need to do some modifications to the top that the horizontal rail should lay on, I’ll do that at work :)
Mounting the towers, it felt very solid and didn’t seem to flex much at all, so that’s good!

the towers need to be bent and tacked in this general position/\/\

A awning to start, but I’ll be making a full rack from 80/20 T channel.
Maybe a solar panel or two, maybe earn some instacool points with a shower system or something.

    Looks good!

Side note: Is that an A/C unit on your neighbors roof? That's only done in a commercial type install up here.

It is a AC on the roof, I actually flew it up and installed it all last year.
Out here the units are anywhere you can fit them. I’d say it’s 50/50 with split units and package units.
We even have split units with just the condenser on the roof, my split- condenser is on the side of the house-much easier to service!
It’s hot as the devils anus out here; so people will get cooling any way they can!

@Tundra2 i might tend to agree with what @NUDRAT said I believe, about doing his best work 2beers deep(sorry if I tagged the wrong drinker)

I’ve been searching for my bed hole block off plastic caps, looked all over, looked in my Toyota parts locker; thru two different buckets and 3 boxes- nothing. But I know I’ve laid eyes on them within the month……
I even reached out to the local dealer tech, he didn’t have any in his nest or claimed he didn’t but said he could order them, I was looking for free.99 price range…..
So I cracked a beer before I gave up and strategically placed it on my wooden vice, I then proceeded to knock it over spilling most of it all over the garage floor and some junk laying beneath. So I said eff it, started moving stuff and got the hose and started hosing things and moving things. I rearranged things until I found the edge of the spill, and I’ll be a monkeys uncle; there I found my bed hole block off caps!!!!! I also found some roof joint and crack sealant while I was down there- SCORE!!

My truck is getting a shower too. We don't get that kind of sun though. I am going to do what the old Landcruiser guys do and burn gasoline for a shower. I have no idea when I will get to that project though.

Can you mount a minisplit outside unit on its side?

    Full story:
I am going to be in the market for a new AC for an RV next year. The minisplits are so quite and efficient. Around here they would be the only heat source you would need. I have seen mobile installs with the outside unit on the tongue. Turning it on it's side and mounting on the roof would make more since.

    Ha, right on!
Most if not all setups around here have the heat pump on the ground, with a line set running inside to the air handler/furnace. Temps in the 20's or colder I just switch the t-stat to emergency heat.

Yeah I guess you could, but I’d feel safer with it on the tongue vs on the roof.
Not sure what you mean by turning it on it’s side, but you can only mount them with the feet down, but you can turn it any way you please to cut thru the air.
I think they would probably even make a indoor evap section that would fit in the old units place in the roof hole- I don’t really do RV AC but I but they have something. But again I would keep the condenser/compressor section on the tongue for safety and service reasons

Ours around here aren’t too bad .09434 per kWh plus $28.40 for clerical or just because they can I reckon. I don’t squabble too much, I gotta have my AC

Help my math out here, are you saying you pay less than a 10th of 1 cent per kWh?

Probably just the way it's typed. We pay 9.4 to 9.6 cents per kilowatt hour here. It varies a little on useage, but 9.6 cents per kwh is the top charge.

Ah, thanks. That makes way more sense.
Here in North central Washington it's 2.8 to 3.2 cents a kWh. Everything in my house runs off power, no gas.
