You should just be able to collapse/fold it away from the lip its tuck into. Might take some force.

Ah. Reread. You could melt those tabs off or grind them off and peel back the metal from plastic. Or, peel that rubber off like described above.

I’m assuming you are trying to remove the assy off the stalk?

When my ex and her husband moved into their new house she called me in a panic saying their water didn't work. I went over there and all I had to do was turn the valve in the meter on. I call him Mr soft hands.

    I don't know how. :anonymous:

I live outside city limits, and have a well. I've never had city water to deal with. I'm also not handy at all.:notsure:

Well is probably in the garage. Unplug it as the pump is what generates flow. Should be a water valve that can be turned off, as well. Don’t touch the valve if its old or you might mess up the Mojo and cause a leak.

No Garage. It's in the pump house. Shut off valve is there, or I can flip the breaker for the pump in the house. I just meant I wouldn't know how to do it for city water.

Edit: I do appreciate the helpful tips though. Thank you.

Hung my first ceiling fan today. Easier than I thought. As always, Murphy is ever-present...

The fan switch leg from the double switch box broke inside the junction box in the ceiling. I took the face plate off the switch, and disconnected that wire from the switch because it was deep in the box further than my sausages can go... no accidental sparks here. Taped it inside the wall box for switch.

Wired the light, and fan together. Just pull the string now for selection. Kinda bummed it didn't go according to plan, but kinda stoked I took on a new challenge.

There was a fan before. Pops wanted to replace the whole fan because one of the fan blade brackets broke when lil bro put his hand in it at full speed...

He has his moments as a still.

Yeah, my two cents was to go to good will and find a set of matching blade brackets, but that was not acceptable for some reason.

I saw those come up in my rabbit hole search but wasn’t committed to paying those prices
These are decent, but usually poor quality because they are made far far away. Mine needed a lot of work, but I wasn’t sceered.

Oh, that was a month ago. Haven't been home long enough to do much else but sleep. Called in early Thursday and Friday. Weekends off I'm gone by choice for mental health.

My house(mini neighborhood) is situated between some serious corn on 3 sides, but I work in Indianapolis. It never gets what I describe as properly dark here.
The Poconos gig is in a medium sized town in NEPA...which is perfect and problematic. Great for everything except my wife wanting a job when/if we get there. Her field has limited options in the immediate area.

I was all excited til you posted this.

When I moved in here I noticed the street shutoff (in the driveway) was missing the cap. (Plow be gone?) took 2 months to find a cap that fit, but once I had it I spent an hour cleaning all the leaves & soil out of the access tube so the shut-off was accessible.
Then I got worried about it freezing, so put in some non-melting packing peanuts & capped it. Dunno if that was smart of stupid, but water hasn't frozen.

You bring up a good point also about the debris in the Valve Box. Many times it takes 15-20 minutes to properly get it in shape. Most have zero clue on any of this, but it makes for proper service.

The Tundra is my 2nd vehicle ever that has/had airbags....probably the 4th with ABS.

I'm a big proponent of making the world a more dangerous place. People have more respect for things that can/do/will kill them.

First time I hit... max 1/4 time... in my beetle I grew an entirely new respect for that car.

I was walking my dog through a park this morning and noticed a bunch of parents preparing for a little league game. A family pulled into the parking in a new Silverado, lifted with typical wheels and mud tires and other add-ons. The driver backed up in a spot so that his driver side was close to a curb, one of those little parking lot peninsula with bushes and trees in it. He didn't want his new truck getting dinged, you know the move. His wife and son hop out of the passenger side and in a hurry the driver swung his door open right into a tree. He was so pissed. Door didn't look dented but scuffed up pretty good.
