Ye. Clients are finally ‘hearing’ about this increase. When I explain to them they say, ‘Well, if its too expensive we’ll hold off’. Glad I bought my Andersen Windows for my house before the prices skyrocketed.

Been installing them this week as its been shlow after 5 years of steady eddy $$$. Of course, my home has the most difficult install process of any house. Went from Shorty Manifold Install to Windows.

Nothing is easy!!! Calgon take me away!!!

You nailed it. Hence, my repeating the same stuff comment. Don’t forget about the occasional Marmalade throwing a hissy about Oil Transmission Analysis.

2×4s are 2 or 3 dollars. Something is wrong.

New Universal basic income checks are coming in a month or so. We will be able to buy more 2x4s soon. $13...

FWIW, we're not getting UBI checks(thank god). I finally figured out what NWpirate was talking about. From what I can tell, they took the child tax credit that's been around a while and made them monthly installments instead of giving it as a lump sum once people do their taxes. I'm going to leave it at that.

Thanks for the info. I was unable to find anything other than they were trying for it.

I want stability a lot more than I want $1400.

That's so weird. Do you have a decent ad/blocker virus protection? It just went to a normal news website for me. Sorry!

I guess I haven't wandered much here. Just noticed there is a 4th gen forum with 44 threads in it, but the "4th gen" doesn't exist yet.

I know it's petty, but that really annoyed me. Whatever Toyota comes out with next will be the 3rd generation. #triggered.

I completely agree. Its almost like when Apple skipped the 9 model, which I still think was a plan to get ahead of Samsung in the numbers.

    **National debt post, not political**

Just printing that money, @FirstGenVol I believe it's in addition to the existing child tax credits. I think those still are in place for tax time.
Seeing how I didn't apply for this or want it, this cash will go to my kids bank account.
They'll need all the help they can get in the future.
    Edit for article.

My friend Matt used to do all kinds of silly ish in his sister-in-law's Grand Am in HS. (that makes the car ~1994)
I'd see him lean forward to grab the parking brake release handle and knew some profoundly dumb shit was about to go down. (we were already travelling well in excess of the posted/recommended limit)

I like this idea a lot.
Were my truck 2wd, I'd be right there with you. Lowered 4x4 is mucho dumb. Lowered 4x2 is forkin sweet. MOF, my next build is likely to be a lowered pickup hauler/tow pig...once I finish the Tundra and the 911 is further along.

Your color is my favorite limited color. I wish I would have ran across one when I was looking.

What would it look like without the metalflake or pearl in it?

Not sure the money will be worth much. Might be better to buy something that will go up instead of down. My wife said we should set aside stim money for the kids for school or something. I just reminded her a degree isn't what it used to be and neither is the dollar. She was open to options after that.
I like the color alright. I saw one just like mine yesterday and it had the same shell, but it was the right color. It was nice and it made me notice how my truck is showing some age. Oh well. It will look nice even if I just paint it the same color and do some matte black. My kid said "hey dad that's your truck"... As we are riding in my truck. In his defense I picked him up in the gx last time and he was all sweaty from running outside. He wasn't even thinking about the vehicle we were in.
I would have rather had white. Anything with a little metallic or pearl would be nice. I do like some metal flake or something on vehicles with curves. The fiberglass gives some big curves.

    I'm calling the boarder patrol.
    *I'll see myself out.

Ack. White is the worst. It hides wonderful (& terrible) body work. There's a 911 build I follow on Pelican that has amazing, perfect body work...but it's painted white. You have to look for/at reflections of light fixtures to see how impeccable the bodywork is.

Also, some curvy cars don't looks quite so cool with flake. (older cars) I'm a big fan of matching the paint finish to the overall spirit of the build.

Good point on the dollar value.

We're not going to push college at all. I was lucky enough to have a high school counselor that encouraged trade school. Worked out great for a hands-on type guy like myself.

This answers what I suspected about ‘working‘ from home. Saw a neighbor during lunch break out swigging a Beer the other day. Other neighbor down the street smelled like Jack Daniels when I went over there to look at some work. He was ‘working’ from home.

Overheard another neighbor today talking in circles with another co-worker. They repeated the same shit over and over for an hour while I was out installing a window. I was getting ready to go take some Crazy Pills just to handle this corporate madness where nothing gets done but talking.

Tried all day to resolve a couple issues concerning the windows. One place was big box and the other the manufacturer for some small issues. Goes like this: Make a call. Press buttons. Get a person who doesn’t know anything! Wait for the MOD who then happens to be in a ‘meeting’. Leave message and no calls back. Rinse and repeat! :annoyed:

Its a regular occurrence now. Used to be you’d get a rookie and could bypass. Now its the New Normal.

    :annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed::annoyed:
