Hell, you missed my rant. The idiots that run the Facebook group wouldn't even approve my request to join. I tried 3 times. Facebook is a parasite.

Zuckerberg should've never expanded passed college kids. When I joined in 2007 you had to use a college email to join FB. Once people's parents.and grand parents could join I deleted my account. But I rejoined about 5 years later to get back in touch with some people

Went to the grocery story today and everything seemed under control. Veggies in full stock so I picked up a few in the name of wurrlld peas. Bread aisle was half full and the meat dept was empty behind the glass. They did have meat out in the packaged aisle so grabbed a few slabs for mañana. Bleach was gone. Mz Hand asked for me to pick up TP, but I forgot.

Most everyone was socially rude as usual. Nobody makes eye contact or smiles (for the most part) anymore and this virus is one more reason to practice ‘Social Distancing’... hasn’t that been going on for at least a decade?:monocle:

Hell I wear my sunglasses in the store to avoid eye contact. I only remove em once I get to the register because I do like to talk to the people handling me food and money.

Curfews starting at 10pm. How will this keep the virus from spreading? Does the virus change during the daytime?

Forced closure of restaurants? But grocers stay open? Makes no sense guys.

I'm attempting to take it seriously and for the most part it's working. However, my true makeup always shows up when doing our sat shopping at Kroger and WalMart. I end up chatting briefly with everyone, especially yesterday. As they approached on the same aisle and if I knew they appeared to take a joke, I would tell them to get on the side of the aisle and don't breath in my direction....5 minutes later, We went our separate ways. Kroger meat man said they had 5 cases of chuck roasts yesterday morning that usually lasts 2 weeks, gone by this morning. Helps we live in a real small area but still trying to keep my guard up.

    Take care all !

I had to go back to the stores a few times to get our normal shopping done. I did buy extra just because my son has a very picky appetite and we don't usually stock more than 2 weeks so I bought about a month for him. But otherwise business as usual.

I keep making jokes about how this is the last time we can eat this or that because in the pocalypse we will be eating our chili and rice until the crops come in haha. My wife is all tense because she's pregnant and still can't get approved to work from home. I'm hoping she gets approval soon.
One thing I'm royally pissed about besides the media going ape$hit is that every new case I'm hearing about seems to come with a "so and so was showing symptoms when they were working or going to a basketball game or whatever". Seriously people, even with a regular cold... Stay home and think about someone else or that someone else's grandparents.

That's complete bullshit that your wife's job won't allow her to work from home. This is serious. It's not the flu. I'm not an alarmist but this is just beginning. My job closed all corporate offices starting tomorrow. If anyone has the ability to work from home they should be doing that.

I don’t know what the virus has done in terms of people wanting to work on their cars. But holy shit last week was my best week in 4 years!

People likely have been given time off and are trying to catch up on errands they never get to do.

Kinda hard to do stuff if you work 8-5 and then most businesses close 5-6.

    Either way, get that money.

Agreed. She needs all her PTO for time off when baby gets here in a couple months so she is just trying to ride it out until they get her approval. She works for a healthcare company so they have many fish to fry right now. My mom works for the same company and she has been getting email after email about what to do when eventually doctor privileges need to be changed or adjusted and what not. It's all pretty crazy stuff.

I guess I'm glad I ordered that new sig 365 last week before everything got completely stupid. Now we'll see if Cabela's actually gets it in. Also who knows what the wait is going to be when I go to pick it up. Hopefully ordering online and picking it up allows me to jump in front of the line some. It's not like I'm window shopping like all the people who didn't plan ahead.
I don't know, but I was compelled to change my oil this last weekend. My gas mileage might have gotten better because of it haha. My buddy works at an independent shop and he said things have been slow. I think we can sum it up by saying there is a large amount of volatility in the market haha.

Oh yeah I'm on that one. Didn't take long to get approved a few months back. Infact iirc a friend of mine requested to join and because we were friends I was able to approve it.

What? You don't ford rivers with your truck on a daily basis? No wonder you aren't part of the cool guy club.

Actually, my laughing was at Ben Sabets comment directed at First Gen Tundras. Go back and look below the pic. Can only imagine the rest of the comments which are cut off from the picture.

Fording looks cool, but just like the ponds around here I avoid them due to being harsh on the truck. Not knocking anyone who does it, but it tears up stuff. Wonder whatever happened with this guys truck?

Went into my office today and they decided to send everybody home. It was Chaos. Everybody had to pack up their computers, monitor, keyboard, mouse and all, and go home to set up shop. Beats the alternatives.

I helped disassemble and carry out computers for 11 different people, to their cars, in the pouring rain. I felt like Forest Gump "I GOTTA SAVE BUBBAAAAA"

Finally home and in dry clothes. Didnt get any work done today, just pretended I was part of helpdesk.

I work at a place “of higher education” I didn’t see any real notices come across, but pretty much all the kids are moving out of the dorms(what appears all of the kids) even the sorority and frat houses are packing up camp, it’s pretty crazy

Me too. We were on spring break last week and they pretty much told everyone Thursday not to come back. However we've still got about 200 students in housing, rec centers were shut down at 3 this afternoon, but somehow we're still doing admissions tours M-W-F.

Oh and office staff/faculty are being told to work from home but tech service like me are being told to report to work as usual unless we're using PTO. 3 days now I've showed up and watched Netflix for 6 hours.

I’m literally in that same boat. Even parking and transportation is gone or “working from home”. I understand us being there for technical support or whatever, but either do a full shut down or don’t. We also have a graduate dorm, so lots of “lifers” that are from other counties or no where else to go, so we have to stay for them and the other stragglers

We were told it's possible that others who have to stay at the office may have to wait in our desks, they're planning to space out the staff that stays. I grabbed a few tissues and crumbled them up, left them on my desk and keyboard. :D

Some select people at work get to do their work from home now... Not me though. I guess I was deemed not important enough to protect. I guess having a 5 month pregnant wife with a history of preeclampsia doesn't count. On the brighter side it will be me pretty much alone in the office and mostly people from third world countries out on the floor. Those countries are generally well known for their sanitation practises right?
I'll have to remember all this after the kungflu blows over. Hopefully my wife and kid don't get anything from me.

Oh and one guy from work has been out sick since last week. No idea if he's cowering in a corner and soiling himself or actually sick. Hopefully he just has something less serious like a case of the fuckits.
