So the wife calls me today to inform that her sequoia is running warm. She said it got up between half mark and hot while setting i. Drive through. Got back out on the Interstate and everything was good. Truck just got a new radiator and silicone hose set.

    So my possibilities are:
    1. Low on coolant- overflow bottle is pst full mark though
    2. Air in the system- bled it but I know it can take a couple of cycles
    3. Fan clutch- possible not engaging
    4. Thermostat

*truck did set a check engine light for coolant sensor loop, low input

    got any suggestions

Ya went back oem on it.I wanted an all aluminum but couldn’t justify the cost. Did splurge on the HPS silicone hose kit though

Well I scooped up this wheel today for only $40. Now to find a tire for it. Now I have two spares for long distance trips. Doesn't match the other wheels but I'm not complaining.

Do you have the Youtube app on your phone and are you trying to upload videos taken from you phone? All I do is open the Youtube app and there is a place to upload new video. It only takes a minute or two.

Well this is really neat. This guy built a sub enclosure for a double cab and it all fits behind the seat. It even looks great.

You got any more pics of that? That 1/3 in the top corner had me fooled.

I pulled that panel the other day and realized there isn’t much room back there but maybe there’s enough for me to get my under seat cubby back. The only thing that I ever put in those pockets are ratchet straps and a hammer.

when my mom was driving the sequoia, her and my dad took off towards houston, cracked a radiator and got hung up in traffic. Little crack near the fill neck. Got hot enough to sieze. Dads a little more attentive these days.

Did some digging and they're apparently selling it for 5K this summer because they're "done doing truck stuff". Without the rims and tires though, looks like he was selling those for $4k.

I say go for it if you don't have a weird abs system built into your master cylinder. I'm still running the stock brakes and I like the way the t100 upgrade feels even without the bigger calipers.

    No ABS here. :)

I still haven't done my testing. Brakes feel normal again. I don't know what's going on with it.

I'm curious if the Vacuum line I replaced that goes to the booster had a check valve with it originally. I didn't install one on the new line.

The reason I say this is because I replaced a lot of lines on Pop's Nissan Frontier. The one going to the brake booster had a check valve to always hold Vacuum even when the truck was off.

Anybody else get an airbag recall notice? I just booked my truck in for it. This would be the second one since I've owned the truck. I also had them order in a replacement latch for my glovebox. I gave up trying to find one so screw it. Toyota can order it and install it. It's gotta come out of Kentucky though so it'll be a week at least until it shows up.

Probably out of the Georgetown factory if there isn't one laying around in a warehouse.

Each contract that toyota (and probably all auto makers) get requires them to keep machines for "service parts" operational for at least 10 years. Sometimes 20.

Once the vehicle is no longer in normal production the best machines that made those parts are selected to be used as "service part" machines.

If y'all need stuff for your trucks that has to be OEM probably need to be ordering it in the next few years or so.

At the Hopkinsville factory we are downsizing our "service area" as our contract for those parts has ended. Discontinued parts.

Good to know. I love my truck but I know that realistically I have maybe 5 years left of easy-ish parts availability. That more than anything will result in me upgrading.

Today, I cleaned out my closet a little bit. Found this super cool shirt. Reminded me very much of @NewImprovedRon. Perhaps it was inspired by his college days.

little crack in the neck caused the replacement luckily we caught it before anything major.

I’m leaning towards a temp sensor malfunctioning. Truck ran hot on her today according to the gauge. Catch is when it was running hot it was dang near on start up. No way it could be overheating. Overflow wasn’t boiling and the ac never stopped blowing cold.
