I saw there were some replies to my hard drive inquiry yesterday, but I'll have to get to those after some snoozin'. Mega tired from extended drive time en route home.

    Thank y'all in advance. :)

Good thing there's TP and candles there, that could be a NSFW Birthday GIF!
Make it a good one @Tundra2

I figured it wouldn't hurt to stock up on the TP since you've got a Mad Shitter on the loose at work. Have a great birthday!

I'm a fan of the ultraguage. They have a bluetooth option that allows you to use it in different vehicles. I keep it in the truck mostly though.

I gotta know how you ended up in Idaho but are familiar with Mountain Brook? I grew up in Alabama and lived in Birmingham before moving to Ketchum.

Funny. My brother used to live in Ketchum.
Anyways, the story goes my wife went to Samford for her NP degree and met a friend during school who lives in Mtn Brook. They’ve stayed friends and we’ve visited there a few times. I LOVE how mountainous and pretty it is there. Never knew any of the south was like that.
we actually just got back from a trip there last month and ended up driving down to the Gulf for a few days. Good times.

    Hey All,

I'm gearing up to do my LCAs and LBJs and I'm wondering where people order their parts from online. I've been looking at RockAuto but I'm unsure what brands are "OEM". Should I just buy top dollar? Thanks for any help. Cheers

Funny story....when I was 41 I got laid off from my job. I'd been to Europe 30+ times (first wife was British) but no farther west than Atlanta. So we threw the kids in our minivan and headed out west for 2 months camping and staying with family/friends. We left in April and took clothes that are typical for Atl weather. It just never occurred to me that the elevation out west had so much effect on the weather. We had to go to a thrift store in Albuquerque to buy warmer cloths for the rest of our trip. We camped in Yosemite on Memorial Day weekend..it got down to 26 degrees...we got a heated yurt the next night. :) If you are bored it's worth checking all the blog entries for some awesome pics. If you are REALLY bored and read my entries, excuse the typos...I wrote it all between 12-3AM in motels while the rest of the family sleept...I never went back to fix the typos... :)

My wife has insomnia, so occasionally she will step into the garage and have a little sleep aid
    :rasta:

We were worried that it might bother our neighbors at some point. Our houses are attached and our neighbors seem really straight edge, he wouldn't even accept a beer when he helped me move a fridge.

The other night I was in the backyard and my wife asks if I was smoking in the garage. I told her it wasn't me, so I went in there and it smelled strong! The last two nights was the same. I guess my seemingly straight edge neighbors might have insomnia too. :D

Funny. Small world. Hope they weren't too close to the tornados.
I grew up in a small town close to the water and moved to Birmingham and loved it. Some cool areas around there for sure, but then I found Ketchum and will never leave.

I didn't like the idea at all until I talked to some neighbors here. I can't hear anything that is going on next door, and when I play music loud in my living room they don't hear it either.

The only thing that I don't like about it now is no window in the bathrooms. I like to hear the birds singing while I take a dump.

I’ve gotten noise complaints from my sound system in the bedroom let alone the living room. And we’ve got space between neighbors.

Doesn’t help my hearings been shit since I was a wee child thanks to being too close to an explosion

No judgement here. I would toke if my job allowed it. The South is so weird. They respect our gun rights but they still think they can pray the devils lettuce away. They can't even pass medical weed. Oddly enough, we can buy some nasty synthetic version which my friends claim has the same effect. We only recently got the right to buy booze on Sunday  Jesus is so pissed!

Said there was one tornado about 1-2 miles away. Haven’t talked to them today yet. Scary stuff but that’s what you deal with living there as well as hurricanes. We here deal with ice storms and wind...that’s about it :)

Almost had a big oopsie this morning. Picking up roof panels at HD and a gust of wind grabbed one.

Out of reflex tried to grab it while thinking this is a stupid move.

    The results
    PXL_20210326_120549783.jpg

Fortunately not as bad as it looks. The passenger seat however looked like a murder scene, half a bottle of peroxide to clean it up.

It's because illegal MJ is a huge cash crop in TN and same thing for dry counties. They keep alcohol illegal cause the moonshiners pay off preachers to talk about the evils of alcohol every time it's on the ballot. This is not conjecture, this comes right from the moonshiners mouths.

I'll never understand the fear of legalization. The dry counties are stupid too, when I used to visit Texas for work I had to buy beer whenever I saw it because the next city over might be a dry one. Nothing stopped me from buying next door and drinking in the dry zone.

Yeah, when it went legal in CA the only people it hurt were the dealers. I know a few guys who had to get jobs for the first time in their lives, most in their late 30s.

That doesn't surprise me. People don't believe me when I tell them that Jack Daniels is produced in a dry county. I'm sure they don't approve but can't say no to the revenue.

"Lynchburg is best known as the location of Jack Daniel's, whose famous Tennessee whiskey is marketed worldwide as the product of a city with only one traffic light. Despite the operational distillery, which is a major tourist attraction, Lynchburg's home county of Moore is a dry county."
