I've had days like that. Let me walk the doggie and I'll tell a story about a real piece of work.

Maybe I should start an independent story time thread. Good idea, or bad idea?
You gotta be in the right place at the right time. Doubt my employer would let you come "hang out."

I went to a call once at a 2 story house. An older woman answered the door and told me her son might have called. Her son comes down and he's around early 40s. He tells me the toilet upstairs is clogged, he thinks his friend (a woman in her 20s) did it so he tells me she is gonna pay me. Strange plot already.

I hit it with the auger and its just jamming. I tell them I have to pull the toilet and carry it downstairs/outside to try and remove the object. I have to replace the angle stop and supply line too, this simple blockage is starting to cost a lot. He tells the young woman its her bill and it has to be done.

I pull the toilet and get it to the front yard. I flip the bowl and see a cell phone. She tells me she was looking for that! I couldn't for the life of me get it to pop out. The older woman brings me some vegetable oil and says try to lube it up. I did, and was able to pop it out. As soon as it hit the grass the younger woman lunged for it, but the weird dude stepped on it to stop her. He didn't want her touching that and said buy a new one, he asked me for a latex glove and he threw her phone in the trash.

I went up stairs to put the toilet back together wondering why this guy was being such a controlling ass. The young woman told me she is from Oregon and is spending a few days with him, but staying at his moms place. She paid me and on my way out I noticed a few pictures of they guy, with his family- his wife and kids. It all clicked, the guy had a little affair going down at his moms!

what's all ya'll's (dat a word) opinion on tire size? I will order the 17x8 FN TRD replicas when they come back in stock but was going to get the Kenda Klever R/T tires now since they are a smokin deal. Don't need the 10ply but I don't think they make them in a 6ply so oh well. I have the billy 5100s on the 3rd clip, I think, and a block in the back. I was going to use the spider trax 1.25in spacers as well which would give these wheels an offset of -31.75mm.
Tire sizes differ a pinch from these two:
    285/70R17
    33x10.50R17
The 33s are taller but skinnier. Not sure which would be better...

So, I'm looking to buy a physcial hard drive eventually to keep photos, videos, and documents.

I'm not a "technologically literate" person once it comes down to specifications other than storage size. What do I need to be looking for as far as "specs?"

Where would be a good place to shop for one that would be compatible with phones, and computers?

I prefer not to use "the cloud."

    Any advice welcome.

Since we are on Toilet Talk, I’ll share a clog experience. Had one toilet with similar condition as MS and Darks with hitting a hard object. Auger kept turning back! Hmmm....

Ask questions and nobody knows nuttin’!

Pulled toilet and got it outside. Turn upside down and couldn’t see a blockage. Ran my Auger through backwards and out pops a dental floss box! It was perfectly wedged in. Picked it up and put it in my front pocket and used it to clean my teeth after lunch.

    That's @Tundra2 level nasty. I love it.

I can't believe he paid $8800 for that piece of junk. That would be about $1600 here in MN.

If things keep going the way they are going he won't be able to pay someone to take that off his hands.

Hello 2008. I know a fella who bought a Triton V10 truck similar to this one, but ya know... nice.

He purchased it when gas was just under $5 a gallon for about $3,500. It only had less than 40k miles.

If only you'd known what the blockage was, you could have just asked Alexa to clear the clog.

The more I read about the current gen Tundra, the more I'm convinced 1st gens rule. Some of the things they mention are 6-8 MPG towing, horrible MPG in general(worse than ours), leaking rear diffs, leaking cam towers, no trans coolers. Half of those guys end up swapping their grill, mirrors and door handles to try and make them look less ugly. I'm sure having a more modern vehicle is nice but I'm happy with my old truck at this point. If the next gen Tundra is better looking I would be more interested but I'm guessing that may not be the case.

    Something like this would work
    https://www.cdw.com/product/samsung...-state-drive-1-tb-usb-3.2-gen/6171776?pfm=srh

I'm using cloud storage for photos and for 3 people I'm at under 100GB for the last 5 years. A terabyte should last you a good while.

Budget? How much data? How often will you be writing or reading from the drive? Most importantly, how important on a scale of 1-10 is it that you never lose this data?

Still need to decide on tires. I don’t wanna order them and then they not fit without a lot of cutting/trimming

It's crazy how much these 20+ year old trucks have APPRECIATED in the last 2 years. I could honestly get out of my truck for more than I have into it, labor aside. absolutely crazy.
