Not sure on those but the Noco units have a bypass (for lack of a better term) to use for batteries that need more than a boost.

Mine has a "boost" button which I tried. No luck. This guys battery cables looked like they got run through a garbage disposal. I was amazed the truck started with jumper cables.

Better to drink alone than not drink at all.

Drinking can’t make you happy, but it does make you feel better. :rimshot:

This story was jarred in me brain just now when I saw a dangerous towing situation.

So the other day, I hauled about 2500lbs to the dump in my single axle. Had about 500lbs in the bed, as well. Pulled into a place I frequent and this other guy was in his F350 arranging stuff back there. The morning was cold and windy, but very Sunny. Also, there was a Full Moon!

This guys saggy pants were down past his buttocks with no underwear as I turn the corner to my fright. Dude was bending over and arranging without a care. The bonus? Dude had a sack of hemorrhoids squishing out between the nasty pimple scared cheeks. :puke:

Feeling like I may never recover, I drove on down to the dump and got behind some dumbass towing over his limit with a single axle (tiny tire) trailer. Wheels were flared at 35° with roof shingles piled high and ass a sagging but it didn’t have hemorrhoids so I did feel a little better.

Tundra on call: 9th floor of one of the more poppin housing units. Most of the hallway flooded and started to go into other rooms. I cleared it, and this is what I pulled out. I shoulda named it!

Where is this switch? I tried replacing the bulbs and it didn't work. Been looking in the FSM for the switch but haven't found it yet.

Yeah I just realized Toyota calls it stop light, not brake light.

Probably not... but also not a good thing

that stochlock might be the issue. Aftermarket remote start?

No remote start that I'm aware of. Nothing came with the truck. It does have a trailer brake controller from the previous owner. Something is wrong with the wires going into the connector. We can get brake lights to come on sometimes but as we jiggle things around they stop working.

We were remodeling an occupied senior apartment room by room a couple years ago. This building was old enough to have all cast iron drain pipes, so in the 3 weeks we’d have a unit, the sludge in the drains would harden, and the showers wouldn’t drain. Of course, because we were in the units last, it was our problem. I got to be the lucky fellow to clean all the old lady hair, black goop, and rust flakes out.

people think that the general contractors have it easy...

My uncle bought the tundra. Well technically not yet. But when she’s all set to sell in may, it’s his. $7500. New frame, 120k miles, 2004 tundra SR5 tow package and LSD with 4x4.

This is brutal. Not how I wanted to spend my Sunday. $62 for a new brake pedal switch and I'm not confident it will fix my issue.

Crazy question. Does the brake lights work when you press the brake button on the brake controller?

I don't actually have a brake controller. It was something the previous owner installed. The wiring remains but the actual controller wasn't included with the truck. I also disconnected the power for the old brake control wiring a few months ago. I removed that stochlock you called out earlier.

The odd thing is that the FSM has 2 different tests for this stop light switch and they contradict each other. The trucks without cruise have a 2 pin harness so I know it's not that.

So we run or ran into that over summer and Xmas break because most of the summer programs got shut down so no one occupied the buildings, and same thing would happen.
So then the lead plumber had the great suggestion that WE do all the buildings(run water down all the drains) (I’m not officially a plumber) well that lasted about two weeks........ someone turned a shower on and I’m pretty sure it was aimed at the trim ring; it ran all weekend and was finally discovered on the 1st floor on Tuesday. It wiped out 3 floors!
We haven’t been running water since......

A $25 aftermarket brake switch solved my problem. I was amazed they had one in stock. Thanks to those that chimed in with help.

Is it just me or does the fender flares plus the 03 bumper make the bed look way longer. 00-02 trucks and 03+ with no flares look even but mine looks all long, had a guy in Temecula with a 01 w/ flares say my bed looked longer then his.

Today a tenant said their kitchen sink was draining slow, pulled out my Milwaukee 12v 5/16th cable auger and tried to get it unclogged and couldnt get it. I love the little guy but I wish it had the option to change tips instead of a fix bulb one. Anyway had to get out my little big guy (only 50ft 1/2 inch cable) and with some hope and finesse was able to get the smaller bulb tip to do a 90 degree turn on the T for vent and drain. Your fish is bigger but I got this one. Nothing like seeing that water whoosh down the drain. :yes:Resized_20210307_192356.jpg

The plumbers first go to is usually their drill snake that’s 3/8 x30ish feet, that thing makes my arms and hands hurt after using it. I’ve caught my last two big ones on the auto feeding machine that we just leave on a cart. Which is a whole mother enchilada; the lead for that area just buys 100foot 3/8 cable......and then cuts it in half to divvy out........ well the end that should attach to the drum isn’t the same as the working end, so you can’t actually attach a head on there(properly) such a cluster over there the last few nights!
