    Me too!
80% of my meals, I eat 20% more than I should.

But seriously. I would be slim n trim if I ate right. Junk food and fast food are my kryptonite. Especially when I’ve been working 5-8hrs without a break on calls and we end up having to stop at a crappy fast food joint just so we don’t die since we can’t find the time to make it back to the firehouse.....something needs to change!

That bit O' airbag on passenger side has me to wondering - anyone know?

Do the trucks with the RSCA off button have side curtain airbags & it's all an optional equipment pkg,
or did side curtain airbags come in all trucks starting in some given year, just some trucks got an off button?

I'm hoping. 2022 I turn 40 so I plan on sitting down with a SERS (PA state pension) counselor and finding out what the penalty is for going at 25 years of service.

Well in my parts, you can get cancer from doing anything. I woke up and took in a deep breath of that carcinogenic Prop 65 oxygen. Going in for my weekly mandated radiation treatment Monday. What's one more thing?

Performing well on standardized tests (like the ACT) effectively measures ones ability...to perform well on standardized tests! Don't worry, it won't stop you from being President one day.

Not going to happen. I did quite a bit of research on the subject. People are getting screwed left and right. Pay it and move on with your life. I've heard stories of people banking on that for 100k loan debts. There are a lot of people in the student loan industry that are 100% predatory and just straight up bad people.

All we have left is the house. I built it 7 years ago and probably have 4 left. Covid added about 2 years to our original plan. God willing I will never be in debt again.

Reminds me of that speech George W Bush gave to those graduating students. Something along the lines of "To all the C students in the crowd. One day you too can become president".

Agreed. I see almost zero chance student loans will be forgiven. We're already running a deficit over $2 trillion right now.

It will be interesting to see as we are pretty much MMT now. I wouldn't be surprised if Janet Yellen tries to modify the Federal Reserve Act as well.

Aren’t most student loans from the Gov’t? Are you saying the Gov’t is predatory?

What’s the consensus for wiring in reverse lights? Original plan was the trailer harness plug, Or maybe behind the tail lights? Comments, suggestions, criticisms?

Today I just wired a pair of Harbor Freight flood cubes into the reverse light circuit, I tapped the positive wire of the drivers side light housing to power them. I intended to use a relay to power them but when I stripped the insulation back on the wiring of the light, it was 18 or 20 gauge. Then I looked up the specs for each light, 15 watts. That's only 1.25 amps per light so that's why I just wired them directly off the reverse light circuit.

Tap off the reverse light circuit of the trailer harness. This can be done without touching the trucks frame harness so if issues arise in the future your not stuck with a damaged stupid expensive harness. And only a trailer wire harness

As empty_lord states above, tapping off the trailer circuit would be preferred if you have that option. When I pulled my drivers side tail light housing I discovered that the previous owner used one of those Scotchlok wire taps. When I went to remove it the wire broke so I repaired it and added the lead wire to the cubes from the repair.

    I know, I know.

@Lil Steve, @empty_lord thanks fellas, trailer plug it is. Just wanted to verify before I get started. My only worry now is gonna be interference from the hitch. I’d like to center em in the bumper on each side but I think I’m gonna have to move em up to clear.

Since I already had these lights on hand, I decided to throw them on the lazy way, using existing bumper bolts. Got them at HF on sale for $20 each.

This is precisely what I did except that I used the trailer reverse wire to trigger a relay.

    86-reverse, 85-chassis, 30-12v from the trailer harness, 87a-reverse light 12v.

That way they are entirely isolated from my reverse light circuit and if one of the pods ever go bad, it will only blow the trailer fuse instead of the reverse circuit. I also have my reverse cam tied into the trailer 12v so that I can see behind me at any time by selecting my rear cam as a source on my head unit.

it can all be done by removing (2) 10mm and unplugging the trailer harness instead of trying to tap into the entire frame harness.
