I’m in Az but our nights are still below 50, which is what it needs to be for monstaliner to dry properly

Thanks. The Rustoleum didn't do too bad. I don't abuse the bed at all. I just need something that will keep it from rusting.

After watching that video I came across this one. Some of the "problems" with 1st gens are ones I've never heard of or they are problems with every used vehicle.

Our high temp for yesterday was almost 50 and I was outside all day in shorts like it was summer.
Complaining about a low of 50 in February, pssht.

From what I understand, 2 years of south Florida living and your blood thins out. 50 feels like

@FirstGenVol for the actual bed I would go with something else. I plan to use Monstaliner when I do my bed but Raptor seems to have great reviews as well in the DIY world.

Monsta has a cool army green I'm considering for the bed, matches my ammo cans.

Just realized I have a privacy breach, stage 4 alert!

My wife was working from home for two weeks and used my tablet to watch some movies in the office. Turns put she also added her gmail to it. Now I'm concerned, what if she saw how much I've been spending on my truck/VW
    :annoyed:

I removed my own gmail from the tablet right away. The fact that I'm still alive means she hasn't looked. Be careful my friends!

I keep no receipts anymore for builds. I keep records with the vendors (online) and delete emails after I verify the parts fit/work.
I don't want to know and I don't want her to even think about it or stumble across the receipts by accident.

In the old days when storage space was expensive and internet speeds were slow, most forums required you to link to photobucket, I know tundrasolutions.com did

I’m a fan of the Rustoleum Spray which has a nice finish versus the thicker type roll on lumpy liners.

You can check my build page for pics of my bed spray project.

I took the plastic liner out. Cleaned and prepped the bed with sanding and spot primer. Sprayed the bed. Re-installed liner and sprayed it, as well. I like my plastic liner for protection. The Spray really adds a nice rigidity to everything, also. 6 cans did my bed plus plastic liner.

In my real old days, sometime after Arpa begat Darpa, we had dialup and bulletin boards, soon to followed by IE and Netscape Navigator….but I digress.

You are correctomundo about those old days and photobucket. Unfortunately TS, TN and TT, etc have added to the cluster fudge and changed to Xenforo software. Many of their good DIY's are really hard to find.

Atari 520 ST. I had a 300 baud modem built in to my phone - no acoustic coupler for me baby!. Before Netscape, there was Mosaic.

I have folders in a cabinet for each car... the 01 taco and the 05 tundra folders are... thick. Avalon is next to nothing and corolla is inbetween. Every receipt for any mods or major maintenance is in those folders

I don't even wanna know how much I've spent on my Tundra. I was trying to think of a good listing price after I clean it up this year and I keep being left with who in the hell knows.

My tacos well above 25k at this point. But that’s 3 different lifts and other things over almost 20 years. My father then me

I feel like it’s a “don’t ask, don’t tell” with me and my old lady. We were a one car family for almost 3 years with a kid. I spent that time building hers up, making it fun for camping and what not. Now it’s my turn with my truck. She’s usually interested and seems excited to see what’s in the box(I just tell myself that, usually I’m getting a brow beating haha) but I keep doing stuff to hers and keep everything tip top, so she can’t really say nay.
