I hear ya. I'm in the middle of oil and gas money here in Alberta. More money than brains most places. Thankfully, I learned quick from early mistakes and now just enjoy the benefits of good wages, steady-ish work and a somewhat reasonable, though ever rising, cost of living. I do look forward to leaving the industry behind though.

I thought I’d be closer to 4500 lbs with the cab being a reg cap.

But I also have 95lbs per wheel and all the extra stuff I’ve added to then truck.

Sounds like my former hand modeling career and the Hollywoo! scene. A wise man told me to get out while I still had good skin.

    Ok!

Did you rebuild your current ones?

What I am trying to get at is an experimental set. I assume everyones are shot at this stage. Just need an extra pair to give it a go Tally-Ho in the UK style. Regardless, I will figure something out. Its what I do! Working on something right now as we speak.

So I have a about 1 gallon of 2 year old mixed chainsaw gas sitting in my garage. It's premium ethanol free fuel with Stihl oil mixed in. I won't be using my chainsaw until summer and plan to use fresh gas when I do. Bad idea to dump the old gas/oil mix in my truck to use it up?

I usually mix a 1/2 gallon at a time with fresh in my mower but it has a 5 gallon tank. I can't imagine if you dumped it into a full tank in the truck that it would cause problems either.

I've also burned 1+ year old fuel in my chainsaw and trimmer with no issues either.

What size tire are you running? Most folks here seemed to think re-gearing wasn't worth it unless you have 35's or bigger(maybe 34's), or you do a lot of towing. I'm running 33's and I won't regear unless I go up in tire size.

I believe my fuel door would bitch slap me if I tried that after all I've done to fuel system in hopes of improving gas mileage....MAF/TB cleaning, plugs, Ign Coils, PCV, O2 Sensors !

I'm currently on BFG 285/70-17s, so somewhere around 32.8. I will be towing a fair amount, nothing terribly heavy on a regular basis, but could be up to 4K on occasion. I don't feel like I lost much with the bigger tires, but always looking for a little more grunt.

Same here. I'm running the exact same size tire. Long tube headers and all new exhaust is next on my list. I think I'll enjoy that a lot more than re-gearing but I also don't do any towing yet.

Going back to my earlier question. Anyone know of a roof rack that isn't astronomical?

I just came across this one but it's almost $700. That seems incredibly high.

I'm wondering if a few cross bars would be a better bet.

Save it and run it this summer. Refresh it with a gallon of new with new oil mix and you’ll be good to go. I would not put it in the truck.

That's what I'm leaning towards honestly. Either that or fire starter...

Inspect and possibly replace spare tire, new wiper blades and new lug nuts have been added to the Tundra Do List. My lug nuts are pretty chewed up and the socket gets stuck on them, I have no idea how old my spare tire is and I replace wiper blades every spring and fall.

That would be a good use. My generator has 4 year gas in it and starts up flawlessly. Its garage kept and I start it up twice a year and run it for 10 minutes and add a hair of gas to it. Ethanol commie gas is my only choice around here. You’ll be fine as long as its been sealed.

The problem is that it's so nice I wouldn't want to really use it and risk beating it up. It is awesome though.

40k in 6 years??? Southeast Florida real estate swings wild in some areas, 40k + or - is normal in a year. Our present home jumped over 100k in about 2 years and our other house has moved a total of $260,000 in 5 years. The bad part is it all disappears depending on the weather
