So, I’ve determined that our transmissions shift simply based on speed and engine load based on this documentation I found online. Now I just need to figure out what it means that my truck now downshifts with less load %.

interesting. I see green trucks as parks workers. it's the only color i wouldn't go look at. I'd consider a green car, but hard no for a truck. YMMV.

That is 100 percent true, but even before I saw the aftermarket tailghts, i always loved the way my oem 2001 taillights looked. Always thought it looked retro/sharp

Hey guys. We need to be careful of others feelings. I suggest studying up on how to build Social Credits Scores for wurrld peas. I learned my lessons in time out and became a changed man. Good thing is I already was hanging with JC so he kept me good company. Maybe meditate on this today.

I am still researching where I want to go with my suspension. Are you guys that are running the 6112 and 51160s happy with your choice? I assume that these will last much longer than the fox or king before rebuilds?

I don't think anyone hassles with trying to rebuild 6112s or 5160s, just replace them. Fox & Kings are rebuildable. I'd be curious for someone to chime in who has attempted to rebuild Bilsteins, though.

Well I got a Covid vacation until the 30th.

Looks like I'll have some time to goof around with the truck assuming it stops snowing and I don't come down with it.

Nope, I've had leaf springs for years. Shock relocaish and ubolt flip with bump stops. I won't have time to install until probably January but thats fine by me.

Do you know of anyone running Archive's new and improved Hammer Hangers? I've been eyeballing the shackle flip kit for far too long, and just now realized it's discontinued / been replaced with the Hammers :pout:

Haven't found any reviews on the new ones yet.

Yup! The way I see it, I may remove all but the main leaf to test for travel and mark where my lower shock mounts need to be. If thats the case, u bolts have to come off anyhow so the flip kit and bump stop makes sense.

My real goal is to get my Beetle home by Christmas, you might like that car. Has a 2074, dual IDFs, straight cam gear, Engle 120, 044 heads and a shortened 3rd and 4th gear. It's a little screamer. I'll put something in the other build threads for it.

Just ordered up 165 and 145 tires for it, now I need a fuel filter, oil filter, and a battery. Should be able to get it running by then. I also need to inspect the brakes and hopefully only adjust them, worst case I may have to do some drum rebuilding. Front passenger one is sticking.
