Nothing specific, really. I'm not in FB much anymore, but that page seemed to be a drama filled pissing match worse than the third gen Tacoma guys on TW. So I politely left.

@empty_lord it appears I no longer have the email with the info on the Airaid tube. I can't find it on my Amazon but I did find it on eBay for 00-04. Maybe that's what I got. I really don't know. Looks identical to me and I've been running it since last November with no issues. Seems the volant intake with box would be the best bang for the buck these days though unless you can score the tube cheap like I did

Interesting. Makes sense since the throttle bodies and manifolds are different. Not sure if it's a question of mm or cm, but we all know the injectors vary by 20cc. However the magic of silicone or rubber is it's ability to adapt, especially with the help of hose clamps. So the air boxes must be the same plus or minus mm on the outlet size

If your feeling up to it, measure the inner diameter of the intake tube vs the inner diameter of the throttle body. If it’s the same size or slightly larger it’s fine

Works for me. But if @Darkness is willing to let his go cheap enough for experimenting on mine.. we’ll just have to do that now. Lol... I mis induction note

@empty_lord well sorry to.smash your dreams but I found the instructions in my garage. I must've gotten almost the last one because I remember only being able to find like 3 in existence last November. 20201112_201917.jpg

Looks like now the only way to get the modular intake tube is to buy the full kit, eat the extra cost, and toss the air dam and filter to hook it onto the stock boxScreenshot_20201112-202600_Chrome.jpg

    Edited again:
    Found one at 4WP Canada

I was about to say previous owner installed one of these on my 06. I wasn’t that excited about it. Is it a big deal to have one on a 1st gen?

They seem to have become quite rare..can't find em on eBay or Amazon anymore. Can't even find em on the Airaid website, but they still list the 00-04 models haha. But I'm finding there's a few still for sale on various websites. Probably been collecting dust somewhere in a where house long before Airaid stopped selling em in the Jr. kit.

Hmmm I had it on the mod list to be swapped to a volant because of the sealed box vs the filter and sock. I might reconsider

The one we're are talking about is just the tube and connects to the stock air box. But it looks like the full Airaid intake kits all use the same "modular intake tube" so your full kit's tube should work with a stock air box if you can find one cheap to try out.
I am however interested in the volant kit. I've yet to hear anyone try it out on these trucks and it looks nice and the price isn't too terrible compared to other intakes.

I don't understand how that airaid tube is any better than the OEM intake.
