I wish you would post more pictures of your truck. I love the color.

Also, wanted to ask, did Toyota ever offer the TRD package on 2WD's? I spotted this really clean DC near my house. It's 2WD but has the stickers.

The “package” is usually bilstien upgrade, and stickers.

As i found giving my dash the same wood treatment as yours, trucks which are 4WD w/VSC are total unicorns. They have their own dash panel with three left-hand cutouts. Two of the three parts guys I talked to familiar with the trucks said "I see the VSC + 4WD part exists, but I've never seen one in my life".

My limited AC is 4WD but no TRD.

If you look at the newer tacos or tundras, there are like 3 different “appearance” packages on top of sticker packages, I mean TRD packages/taxackages. It’s rather genius of them....... think of how pissed the 2019+ guys are; who paid extra for stickers and flares and didnt get a real transmission cooler hahahahahah

There were TRD Sport packages in 2wd and I have heard of but have not seen 2wd TRD Off Road packages.

I think most people get them just for the cool stickers.

Absolutely they did. Factory Bilsteins all around, the heavier coils on the front and LSD in the rear, towing package, 130a alternator, RSCA disable.

Look again. I think it was a SET thing similar to the Pre-runner Tacoma’s.

Been thinking about front end rebuild. I'm planning on having Bruce do the work since my back has been acting up again. The time is drawing close on contracting him to do the deed.

What are your alls thoughts on having him do the front wheel bearings while he's in there?

    Currently sitting at 326,420 miles.

    Preventative maintenance or unnecessary?

That would be a good time to have them done. I wish I had done mine when the front was redone (just because).

Bruce is the local mechanic whom I trust. He is the fella who pulled my axle apart, pressed on bearings, replaced the backing plates, and the parking brake. Did a phenomenal job on that.

I installed my 1stgenoffroad "quick coilovers." Dobinsons coils, with bilstein 5100s.
I was hoping to be able to ride it a little longer than a few months, and 5,000-ish miles until having to do a front end rebuild but...

I can't find a shop that can do an alignment with all the tension from the 2" suspension lift.

    Bruce did this work.

I will post some after I get a chance to do some paint correction....about a month ago my son distracted me and I scrapped the rear fender flare on my fence backing out...pissed me off...so it's even less "perfect" now...if anyone knows of a place to find a DC BlueSteel Metalic rear passenger fender flare, let me know...I keep checking carpart.com but no luck so far.

And yes, the TRD OR package came is completely separate from 4x4 in all Toyota models that it was an option on.

I got 670k out of the corollas bearings... I’d leave them alone if they’re still quiet

I love these wheels...they remind me of the truck wheels that were popular in my youth....but that flat white doesn't look good on too many colors...they look great on Fire engine red vehicles....also on dark grey vehicles or even black if there is some corresponding trim to match...

What are you needed done other than alignment. If that’s shops saying they can’t align it due to tension from the lift; that’s bs.
If you haven’t done LBJ within the last 150k it might be a good idea, unless you want to be Kentucky’s next Kachow star

That white truck reminds me of the 87’ I had. Pizza cutters, but no 4wd. I did have a sweet Puerto Rican full width mirror, though!
