No ones found a work around for the led headlights causing high beam issues right?

After dealing with a creosote fire inside an exhaust vent at work with a skeleton crew, and various other jobs i decided to come home and de-stress by working on moms truck before going to bed for work tonight.

Fire is why I was on the roof. Maybe I should have just let her burn down...

Didn't we have a post here somewhere with pictures on swapping out HVAC bulbs? I can't seem to find it. Pretty sure it's only a few screws to pull the panel out iirc. I'm gonna do that job this weekend.

I went to go check some out but they all only have 1/2 inch sized sockets instead of the 12mm that I need. I went to another sotr
I ended up sledge hammering a piece of metal in between the bumper mounts and the frame, then sawed off the bolt :)

Thanks for the invite. I'd love to explore TX though I am stuck working in the desert for a while at this point. Same invite back to you if you get to Tucson, plenty of trails and the weather is just starting to get tolerable.

Tip the vents up and there's a screw in each, pull the vent knobs and there's a screw behind each. Then just grab a spot and pull straight out.

Oh one other question before I pull things apart. My heater knob only turns 3/4 to the right. Is there a way to fix that while I'm in there?

No problems on my 2002. I started with the LED Fogs install first, as I had just put in new headlight filament bulbs. A few months later decided to try the Katanas (HR Knock offs) and even spoke with HR first and they said if my LED Fogs were working proper then the Headlights would work fine. Ended up doing the Katanas because of the reviewers saying they were the same.

Your 05 (per reviewers) need resistors to stop the HighBeam indicator.

Have you tried removing the knob and gently trying to turn it the rest of the way with needle nose?

Cable might be bound up in the rear. I lubed every cable and worked them back and forth while the panels were open.

Here's the other end of the cable. Looks like I'm running out of cable when try to set to max heat

Set as far it will go to heat:

Something's binding. That's why it keeps bouncing back. Take the panel off and grease the wheels.

Wheels are greased. Something is binding up in the cables. Not sure where.

We’ve been over 100 for 100 days or something stupid like that. Thursday it’s supposed to be sweater weather (98)
But at least the night are dropping below 75 now, you can open your windows in the early morning and cool the house down with some fresh air

I was wondering how it was in AZ. I figured if we were 90s yall were still up there too. It was low 80s and high 70s all last week here too. It was just teasing us I guess...

This has been my 3rd summer full time in AZ, holy hell this past summer was nutz! But riding season, and anything outdoors is almost finally here.

Still hot but at least it's bearable compared to the rest of the summer.

Back east 90's + humidity was nasty. Low 100's and low humidity actually isn't so bad. It's a dry heat, you know? :) Like an oven! :bananadead:

High temps were in the 60's with lows in the 40's last week and it gets a little warmer every day, but all good things come to an end.

Highs in the 60s, and lows in the lower 30s. Working nights, I always get to feel the lower end of the temperature shaft. Lol

Hopefully won't be going back on the roof at work for a while.

    Damn that chilly there already?
I’m super glad I don’t have to get on commercial roofs anymore. We will get some frost or moisture condense on those white membrane roofing material, and usually the heat of your boot compressing the frost will make it melt, and now you’ve got a ice rink up there! I got pretty good at walking on them, but every so often one would sneak up and get me and send me sideways
