Does any know off hand if there are any other mis-prints in the Tundra 05-06 FSM?
Did find the bracket diagram for the rack on page SR-70, and SR-88 to be incorrect from all the takedowns I watched.
Took me a while researching to convince myself my thought process that it was upside down was correct.

 

Assuming his statements are true, what did he do? v6 flavor, for $2500, looks decent

It's bittersweet, happy you're still here, but it's complete BS two guys were taken off this planet (along with the perp) for no good reason.

I think the last 5 years of uncertainty, disassociation from one another, increase in everyone-for-themselves-ish-ness, and let's be real, PTSD from the pandemic that exacerbated those things and locked everyone down (globally, not just here) effed up a lot of people, created new mental health issues where none existed prior. The damage done to our kids, it'll take us 1-2 decades to fully unpack that, much less what us adults are hiding/harboring (it's easier to spot in the kids).

Things just aren't what they used to be.

Maybe on Monday, Toyota parts and bodykits.com will finally process the orders I placed (before business hours a week ago).

 

At 25 years old and 316k miles, should I preemptively replace my completely functioning, nonleaking OEM OG wheel cylinders while doing the rear shoes and drums? I'm thinking yes, since they are inexpensive and I'm already going to be in there anyway. Thoughts, questions, comments, concern?

 

I bought new ones to do mine at around 225k miles. When I pulled the drums the wheel cylinders looked great. I left the OEMs on and returned the non-OEM ones I bought. I wouldn’t hesitate to replace with new OEM ones at 300k plus though.

 

I vote yes, one of those “while your in there” type situations

 

I’m cautious of going to far with the while your in there’s. So many of the factory parts are not high failure parts. Replacing a tried and true part sometimes invites failure. I’ve not read about any wheel cylinders failing on these, I put them in the low probability of failure category

 

Why not just rebuild instead? Doesn’t Toyota have a seal rebuild kit?

 

This makes a lot of sense to me. Besides, rear brakes aren't hard, so if/when failure does occur, I can always replace them then.

I believe they do, at least I read in one of our sticky threads that they do. I have yet to look.

 

Unless you have defective brake shoes..........damn you AC Delco.

This could be one of those wrong priced items you order then they never fulfill, but this seems like a great price.

It's just the shell, no brackets, mounts, stabilizer, or plastic covers. Be aware too, those aftermarket bumpers are thinner than the originals and can dent easily (Ask me how I know). Don't blame Amazon, everybody and their uncle is selling the same bumper from here to Timbuktu.

I'm only a couple hours away in Louisville and I have to go through Evansville this weekend. I just might have to take a detour.

 

"While you're in there" can easily spin out of control, if you're not careful, too $$$. My front end rebuild last winter and overall march to 35"s, is a good example. OEM LBJs I had already in my possession, turned into selling them at a loss in favor of buying TC uniball$.
Now I've been mulling over boxing the frame and relocating the rear shocks (thanks to @bmf4069 and @JakeJake for giving me the idea) with some new Kings, while I've got the bed out of the way for the body lift.
On the flip side I'm considering abandoning the BL in favor of tubbing and cutting the fenders. Finally do I want hammer hangers or do a shackle flip?
Fark... Shit is out of control.
