I've been searching, I promise.......but can't find any thread where someone put a 6x9 in an AC rear door. Any idea if its worth the mods to put one in there?

I put 6x9s in mine. I modified the stock speaker brackets to hold them. Can’t remember the exact details now. But I promise it’s possible.

Definitely know it'll fit; I'd just love to find a plug-and-play bracket. I need to pull specs on all Scosche and Metra 6x9 brackets made for Toyotas, and see if any bolt holes happen to line up with the measurements I took on my rear cab doors.

Fortunately I never deal with Fulton or Dekalb, I think I'd go f'n nuts if I did. Things are wild enough at the city level.

I have never really been a part of a "steering comity" or decision making group... I've taken part in some community things, "KABOOM" playground builds, Neighborhood cleanups etc...
I've have sat in on quite a few Planning dept meetings when I was in inspections, and it's hard to explain the pretentious air that fills those rooms, such a shit show Shifty... bunch of idiots burning money.

Question is, is the juice worth the squeeze?
I really don't care for groups where you can't tell someone how retarded they are, or their thinking or idea is

EDIT: except for my marriage, definitely and exception to that rule... o_O

No thanks! Dre is seriously kicking f'n ass at the moment doing the mayor thing. Very happy with what he's managed to make happen here.

IMG_6758.jpg Quick ask for FGT Nation, I had my AC fixed (along with timing belt, water pump, compressor etc..) and the upper rad hose was slipping on the lower end. My mechanic used screw clamps in addition to stock ones to secure the hose and the upper rad plastic cracked. Anyone have any recommendations for radiators?

OEM junkyard rads? New stock rads? Cheap but totally functional aftermarket rads? Fancy extra cool ones that still fit perfectly with stock brackets/Air Conditioning parts? I’m sure some members have gone down this rabbit hole and I just don’t have time to right now as I’ve got to get it up and running again soon.

side note, is there anything that could happen during the water pump change that could cause higher pressure than usual on the upper rad hose? Maybe the hose is just worn and needs replacing but I’m curious if there could be higher pressure than before (New oem rad cap also installed).

New Denso radiator is the way. If the hose was put on reverse then it could have been in an unusual orientation and not sealed well. Chances are though, the factory clamp has just worn out like mine did.

So what’s the best way to get these timing belt cover nuts off? Are they cap nuts? (Hard to tell what they were)

    IMG_1021.jpg

    IMG_1020.jpg
Will heat melt anything other than the cover it passes through? (Although those wires are pretty close)

I’m thinking a weeks’ soaking of penetrant, propane heat and some back and forth wiggling.

I’m not sure of the implications of snapping them off since applying heat may not work given the proximity to the wiring.
