Bought a new slave cylinder, heat shields, and a (hopefully) better fitting air filter for Donut. Should be here Tuesday so I might have it fixed on Friday. From what some of the guys on the T56 and manual panther platform pages are saying, along with the expert at ADTR, this is a hodge podge of weird parts. I'm really starting to see why dude let this car go at that price. I'm about $1600 in so far and still have about $2k to get it right. Still not bad but damn man, I just wanna drive it.

2 questions for you guys. I had a bank 1 driver side cat code not long ago. Found loose bolts near bank 2 which solved my code for a few months. Now it’s back but all bolts tight as can be…
Just wondering what you all think of this situation.

question 2, you all think I can get away with sanding and spraying a clear coat here or does she need paint as well?IMG_0961.jpgIMG_0962.jpg

I think this will need more than a sanding with no paint there.

Ya that part does. Kinda small and simple to touch up. The side is what worries me cause I’ll need to do the entire thing going to the back window if it needs paint.

I’m certainly not the guy to tell you. I’m still wondering how I’m going to fix my rust at the top of the windshield and I’d like to do that myself.

i’d trade 20 kids to have an arlo.
    https://youtu.be/FJCcTtD6B_U?feature=shared

& thats a helluva nitrous bottle. I read than 10secs of 100 shot burns .8lbs, so a 50lb bottle strapped next to my exhaust could run the button @50hp for 13 mins or so. If i kick off OD, i’ve gotta hit 79mph before i touch the button (76mph if i get 4.10s) i’ve met some high altitude hills i couldnt hold in 3rd & had to slow down. 20hp shot might be enough to fight the wind if i build a trailer tailer for my cap.

    how shady?

Anybody buy a 27f battery (or really any battery) recently?

Sketchy battery that came in the tundra nearly made me late to a meeting earlier. Sketchy as in no branding, date, or identifiable features. Showing 12.8v, but even the blower motor is enough load to drop it under 10.

I think everything else I have has an Oriley's stupid start except for the Wally world never start that's in the lawnmower. Not dissatisfied with them, but not completely satisfied either.

Looking forward to throwing the old one in the ocean for a cheap and legal thrill.

Costco usually has 27f for about $100.

I just get the Toyota 27F and turn it in to get anywhere from 20-30% off a new one based on their 84 month prorated warranty.

Works out well enough that the discount price is about the same you’d get one at Costco for nowadays.

    Weight reduction, mostly rust.
Yeah, I sat next to him and said how's it going, tell me about your day. He unloaded, good dude. been furthest NE you can go on roads (On continent), almost got to furthest NW (Tuktoyaktuk) but a propane tanker roll over closed the road. Old folks have lots of stories. It was a nice side quest during my tire trip.

Progress on the stang stereo. Ran into some road blocks. Amp was mysteriously in protect mode. We haven’t used it since it was in his other mustang that got rear ended. Brought it inside and hooked it up to my bench 12v and after the second power up it seemed as if it reset itself. Blue light lives! Put some sound deadened in the trunk and rear deck and installed the rear deck speakers with heavily modified install brackets.

I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Interstate batteries from Costco. The one that I replaced last summer was in the truck for more than 10 years.

Have been using an old PC ATX PSU for years on the bench but considering an actual PSU. How do you like the PowerMax ?

Does the separation of tweeter from mids make a bigger difference than being in the door panel?

Definitely different than if they were next to each other, but this is the factory location for the tweets. Probably most “true” if they are closer to each other. I find that having the tweeters up higher in the door or in the A pillars raises the sound stage up closer to your ear level which is more ideal. No good place to mount the mid up at ear level in a car.

Not sure if this is a JBA arm or another Chinese knockoff, but this is kinda concerning. This is from the former master Toyota Tech that built @daveeasa's trucks

This is a replacement 12v house power / battery charging unit for my old camper (warranty replacement I didn’t end up installing). Works great for a 12v source. It’s actually voltage adjustable from 11.5-16.4. Also has continuous power mode and 3 stage for floating batteries. I think the output is around 65amps. Works great!

Also tested out the new ported boxes for the 12” JLs. I’ve got a Punch 75 bridged in the Tundra for sub duties. Wow. This thing pounds. And it’s only one of them getting about 100w rms. He’ll have both in the trunk with around 300w a piece on them.

@KNABORES doing awesome stuff! Super stoked on reading all that. Bet it’s tons of fun. Man if my kids were just a bit older, maybe they would actually help me do something like that.

on UCA’s, I am wanting more and more to replace my TC on the ‘05 w TRD pro Taco red UCA’s even at their absurd price.
