I'm not able to print them myself but there are lots of companies that will print stuff for you if you send them a file. Usually it's not too expensive.

Pulled out the blower motor to check it out. No particular reason, but I'm glad that I did. This shit is nasty. Previous owners years of cigarette smoke caked in.

I'm cleaning it now, but I'm definitely buying a new one. Yuck

Y'all finally got a decent rain! Nice.

Hey do you have some cutting power tools? One of us might need to trim stuff. Both probably. What tools should I bring?
I figure I'll bring my 4x6 and 4x4 blocks, chock, and what ever else you want me to bring on the tenth. I've got an angle grinder and a sawzall.

My buddy is coming over in the morning to help me move the chicken coop and hold the wrench while I torque down the last two LCA bolts.

Huh curious how much that would get rid of smoke smell.
Also curious have any of y’all thrown a cabin air filter above the blower? Quite a few people 3D print filters for that spot now

I'm sure it would help. For the record I have chlorine bombed this truck once and used the meguiars air refresher fogger twice. The smoke smell is still fairly present.

That blower motor smells like an ash tray, so it has to be a pretty major culprit in retaining that smell. I cleaned it with glass cleaner then gave it, and the foam pads above, a good spray with some air freshener.

Before you reinstall, spray it with Ozium.

Then run the ac for a while. If it still smells like smoke,.spray Ozium in the headliner.

    I'll look into that.

I tried to find a way to pop the fan off of the motor, but it seems like its not removable. I wanted to soak it in some cleaner overnight.

My money is tied up in more important preventative maintenance with the truck right now so a replacement will have to wait for just a bit on the blower motor.

That’s how I ruined my OEM fan motor. Trying to pop the fan off, broke the motor magnets in the process. Limped it along for a few years. Replaced with an aftermarket one. It sucked. Made weird noises and didn’t have as much air output. Replaced with new OEM this year, back to good.

It's weird, too. It has a clamp on there like it's holding it down, but it doesn't seem like the clamp does anything. The plastic of the fan sits under the metal pin lip. I don't think there is even a way to get it off without breaking it.

I read up on some previous posts here about the A/M ones not being too good. I'll just wait and get an OEM one. I also read about the Land Cruiser blower motor upgrade, but didn't see any updates on if it works or not.

Pop by whenever it’s convenient, you can borrow mine. I won’t need it again for a few months, I’m sure.

I feel like there’s usually an e-clip or tension clip holding the fan on, but prior comments have me double guessing that one…

I know for a fact they sell the squirrel cage separately. But the motor isn’t that bad to replace.

Huh haven't heard of chlorine bombing the interior for smoke smell. I've used an air bomb in the past and honestly I don't smell it at all, girl friend doesn't, dad hopped in the other day and immediately picked it up. Maybe I got used to it
Same. It's one of those ah maybe one day things.... then I see it on facebook and go oh ya maybe one day again... haha

    This.

In last couple years went through headlight and side marker replacement, fender reshaping, and pounding a dent out of the chrome bumper skin. So was about $50 in lights and a day's work instead of the roughly $3000 quote.

If the hood to fender gap is correct on the other side then can focus on strike side fender mounting metals and reforming the fender itself if not too badly out of shape. A straight used fender can reveal what position the bracing needs to be returned to. Mounting brackets can be replaced along with the bumper skin if need be. The front apron bracing looks like in needs to be pulled back outward

Just saw it was back out of stock.

if you missed, the SE dealers have 25% parts promotion now. Part # is 27060-0F050-84. Ends up more expensive than from Rockauto, but if you need it…
