Oh, i forgot. I snapped a pic of a tacoma last week. The tube bumper looked ok, but the functionality of it i kinda question. The reason being is that the lower tubes that are under the side portions of the bed are too far up to protect the sheetmetal.

She's goin ziiiing ziiing before starting o_O
Before I install I plan on cleaning the connections (pull the fuel pump relay) and cranky crank and see if it acts normal.

I wonder if those would help fit skinny 35's on these trucks, like it helped fit skinny 37's on the second gen

I'm sure it would help. I don't think it would be as easy. His post says their +50 offset I think he mistaken with the 5 lug RW. As you can see in the pictures their +6 offset.

I rub on 33s on stock wheels with my 33x10x16. Nothing will stop 35s from rubbing except tubbing.

I posted a WTB on the gen 1/2 SHO page for some seats. I'll give it a week then I'm buying the Summits. If they suck I'll sell them the buy the Recaros.

THX, I just bit it and went OEM. Great sale btw. I referenced the list DesertDog made a while back when I first started having issues. Serra Parts just sat with a spinning wheel when I entered one of the part numbers...

EDIT: I did watch a vid where the dude keeps the coolant crossover ON... that would be nice if possible.

Pretty solid packaging and service from Serra Birmingham. Took advantage of 25% off sale. Rear suspension parts for Ravioli.

I bled the brakes on Ravioli today. First time I've properly done it in 13 years. I noticed lately the pedal was getting squishy and it just didn't brake like it used to. Hoping this helped. I shouldn't have let it go so long.

Man, that barely looks used. It's still yellow! Looks almost like a road bottle.

You think that looks good? It's brown. New fluid is almost completely clear. If this doesn't help then I don't know why the brakes have gotten worse unless the master or booster is failing. It has rear discs thankfully.

I don't know but at 13 years and 162k miles, I would imagine I was past due. Brake fluid is hygroscopic.

This is probably a little aggressive but since you asked:

Add it to the lbj/tb maintenance. My tb is in 25k if my wp doesnt shit the bed, i’ll do it then. When i got my truck the fluid in the reservoir was gold, but the fluid in the braklines was green. Gravity bled all 4 wheels over a couple rounds. Adjusted the rear tight, then backed off half a turn. Really gives more brake modulation, instead of on/off.

plus, we all know i’m not panic stopping. Skinny pedal is way more effective at saving your life in a crash, and polo’s not buckled in. That asshat stands on my center console only in parkinglots & while hauling a trailer.

Spicer/Dana. All day, every day, hands down, I will not buy another brand. There are different grades they offer, anything mid-grade and above will last you a long time. I have little to no experience with their cheaper stuff. You can buy both sealed and zerk'd.

Coincidentally, it's also what brand Toyota used for nearly all the driveline components (shafts, u-joints, carrier, etc.)

Dad doesn't want a new head unit for the backup camera on his 03 AC SR5 4x4 4.7 L. So, we're going the video mirror route. Anyone have experience with this Master Tailgaters video mirror ?

You may also want to do one of the wireless reverse cameras. There's one brand with "WOLF" in the name I see folks recommend periodically.

RockAuto. If not Dana/Spicer brand, then probably Neapco would be my second rec. If you're replacing the u-joints at the transfer case and rear axle, this is the one I recommend you order (4WD only). https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=4937421&cc=1431003&pt=2392&jsn=659

Don't touch the u-joints in the double cardan joint unless you absolutely know what you're doing. Here's a discount code for RockAuto. 294404459260570971

I parked beside this Gen1 the other day. I had no idea this color was available. It wasn't until I came back out that I noticed that it also had eyelashes.
