Had to replace one of the CV axles on my 2002 LS430. We were hearing a clicking/thunking noise on deceleration that was related to wheel speed. Ended up buying a used CV axle from a car with 110k miles.

It generally went smoothly, no cracked bolts or stripped threads. Most of this stuff hadn’t been removed in 23 years, so there was definitely some torch usage. Lot of stuff to remove.

    IMG_1895.jpg

I was really worried about the 10mm bolt for the wheel speed sensor, and the allen head bolts that attach the axle to the diff. Both came right out without issue. Despite it’s complication it’s a pretty easy car to work on.

I found an old receipt on my attic from 1993. For shits and giggles I decided to Google that Sku# to see if it would pull up the auger bit.

    Man....it was $7.21 in 1993. But in 2025 it's $59.57.

My little town just got a Murdock's and this weekend is the grand opening.
Today-sunday, free bucket, everything you can fit inside is 20% off. Anything that won't fit is 10% off and guns are 5% off.
This was $150. Dad got a 50lbs chicken feed bag for $5 less than he usually pays for his 40lbs bags. They had free food too. But Dad didn't want to wait in line for BBQ. I wanted to, but the line was long AF. It's like every one in town is there lol.
I didn't see any DeWalt air pumps, unfortunately. I might get a DeWalt fan for Jambo though.
I'm going back tomorrow with my sister, because she wants a pistol. I need to look at holsters for my 1911 and G43.

In the video he says he sells it with a hoop, but I didn't see it on his website. Also, shipping from Vancouver to TX or even TN would probably be outrageous.

I've got a ton of .22 rifles I inherited from dead relatives. I haven't shot a .22 since I was a kid. I remember using these short rounds in my bolt action. I might buy some longer rounds when I go back with Tori tomorrow. I really don't know shit about ammo.

Supposedly these sort of disruptions are common for those who fly to Phoenix on Southwest. :notsure:

I think what's why coastal's are dyi. They probably figure shipping crate from Canada would potentially lose sales

Turns out I don't have a bolt action. That must have been my uncle's. I just remember shooting it all the time out on the farm.
    I've got two semi autos.

:woot: they told me their policy don't let you return ammo, but since I bought the .22 shorts on the day of their grand opening and exchanged em for .22LR a few hours later, they would let me.
    20250307_171647.jpg
These were actually 90¢ cheaper than the shorts.
It's like I got the extra lead, powder, and brass and they paid me for the privilege :p

Worth the money for recaros. SR3/SRD reclineables are the jam imo. Also SPG XL bucket seats, have been the most comfortable I've tried.

Sparco, bride, corbeau, omp, kirk, nrg etc. All haven't been comfortable.

When I jacked my back up after a solid week building an engine harness, it was the only thing comfortable to sit in. My only other choice was flat on my back on a hard floor.

I'd try them all if you can. Granted you're kinda in the middle of nowhere.
