Don't you have to go pretty old to make sure it would survive EMP? Like 1970's, maybe some 80's vehicles?

I guess I'll have to hope @empty_lord saves me in his Mercedes. I know he's got a decent gun collection. Maybe we can mount something on the roof.

Discovered the Lower Fan Shroud is missing from my assy during some pre-game Mojo Dialing. How much you want to guess goofy mechanic didn’t put it back on in 2012 during the last TB change? I’ll bet he didn’t install a few other things, as well.

Guessing the little TB Cover Gasket, and maybe the little triangle wedge.

Any bets on some other shit?

Wouldn’t be surprised if its the original belt still and he just changed the Water Pump. This really chaps my ass!:annoyed::rofl:

I place a wager on there being a messy waterpump gasket. Quality OEM gasket doesn't need any goo, right?

We’ll find out in the next couple weeks when I get around to doing the job. Right now just making sure all the ducks are lined up. I won’t be surprised to find something missing or not replaced properly.

Per the Water Pump Gasket: There is a nice metal with rubber one in the kit to mate up to the engine. The Goo goes on the rectangle thingy to the thermostat connection. Looks like he used some gray stuff on mine in that area.

In all honesty, I don't wish that anyone find gremlins left behind by shoddy work.

It would be super helpful if you have a spreadsheet of all the part numbers to the hoses, clamps and misc parts you are replacing in total. It's something that I definitely want to address when it's my turn to do the tb/wp.

While this works Toyota actually makes coolant specific fipg. For a ridiculously absurd price

I'm gonna call at least 3 missing 10mm bolts, or whatever holds the cam covers on.

This. I was thinking at least 2 10mm bolts and maybe one of those long post rods that stand off the covers. Bonus guessing: Missing install of the cam wire grommet in the hole. At least I know not to be surprised now.

I’d like to use that as its left over/available to me. Opted for the Aisin recco’d shtuff which is probably the same stuff as the Toy 103 I’ll bet. Not sure until it gets here.
