If I ever have my manifold off I want to slap on some of that pepper tape shifty was talking about a while ago... especially if I'm rural and it spends much time outside.

Can confirm: FSM (for my 2006 at least) does say the knock sensor wiring is shielded.

I don't know if this could help you, but I had a similar issue with this POS 09 Altima that I used to own. That thing would not attempt to start and it was also a push button. The problem ended up being the brake switch. The faulty switch was not registering that the brake pedal was depressed and would not let me start the car and once I popped a new on in it started working like a charm.

Well, I found a Haltech installer who remote tunes. I told him I had a crown vic and he asked if it was auto or manual. Kind of a weird question, but I said manual and sent a pic of the codes and what I've done. I've been on read since 10:30.

He's apparently in northern Minnesota. Same timezone as us. He probably saw my posts asking for help and said "fuck this guy".

    Eye shit, ewe knot.
this is pretty clean for only having a soft bristled brush & low water pressure.
    IMG_0229.jpg

Oil is good, i can see the fuel in the tank now, and i got the shifter working easier. Gonna figure out how to check the axle’s juice & adjust brakes today. I need to find some drive pulleys, these and my parts kart at home are worn out, but the belt is fine.

tires are on their way, bet this thing is gonna feel like a rocket ship with 18” tires.

Cragar hubcaps came in, i kinda wanna goofy tire-name template for the front wheels, and the dragster wedge for the back. Pretty sure i’ve got a chrome shelf thing that’ll look like ladder bars & really give it a gasser vibe. Maybe i’ll need some motorcycle wheels for the front, main goal is to get it to hold air, and the fronts are old & dry rot. Lowering it 2” is a secondary goal, 5” would be ideal, but she hasnt given me permission to take the lift blocks out yet.

I’d rather get a full winters worth in one day. I hate driving around in a truck coated in salt.

Can’t wash it because it’s covered in salt the following day even with minimal driving.

1-2” of snow Thursday here. Just enough to lay down another thick coat of brine.

I’m totally with you on that. Luckily i somehow managed to somehow slip in right before the prices of both mild and stainless steel began to skyrocket. I build a HUGE deck on the back of my parent’s house back around 2015. The twelve main support columns were powder coated 3/16” wall 4x4 square tube steel (each about 12’ long). The tig welded the entire cable railing handrail with 316 alloy stainless steel. I used 3/16” wall 3x3 for the main uprights, and .120” wall 1x3 and 1x2 pieces that connected the uprights all together. The deck is 131’ long! It took forever to tig weld it all together. I think the all the 316 stainless material costed around $4000 back in 2015. At the time, it was a very reasonable price. I’m betting that it would cost at least $20,000 now for the same amount of materials. My parents got REAL lucky that i built the deck when i did. I’m guessing all the materials (lumber, steel, simpson hangers, concrete, stainless cables, composite decking, Ipe wood, stainless fasteners) together costed around $15 (zero $ labor). I’m betting that the same materials would cost $80k now…and however much more labor would cost as well. My dad being a complainer, also gave me a hard time throughout most of the construction. Perhaps if i charged him for my labor it would have shut him up?

So apparently the VW Tiguan, and associated VAG vehicles use wideband o2 sensors. How bout that.

I found a PDF of the entire 05-06 Tundra FSM if anyone needs it. It's 77mb and over 4,000 pages, so I'm unable to attach it here. I can email a copy to anyone that wants it.
