Well, that’s a stock sized tire, so it’s not like it’s undergeared. Hopefully it was just a few wind gusts? I would think that would have to be a very noticeable wind gust if there was a downshift at 80mph. Not much you can really do about it if there is something the matter with it. The most you could do is try changing the fluid if it happens again. I’d probably just pretend that it didn’t ever happen.

Yea, gonna blame it on the wind. I’m only at 150k, and havent really abused the trans much yet. Which is why it concerned me. Yesterday woulda been about the worst possible time for something to happen. Polo & i can handle waiting for a tow truck, but grandma cant. A 50 mile ride is almost too far without a pitstop.

3" trash pump and a few 10k gallon tanks. Then you'd have water for the garden during dry periods.

My well tank is about 40k gallons. But when i get my pond liners in this year i’m guessing that’ll hold another 1500 gal or so. Hoping the deer will stay out of it this time.

Gotta be 4k gallons, a pretty common size in Texas for low producing wells. I did some work for a guy once who had a whole outbuilding dedicated to water storage. I think he had 10-12k gallons of capacity and a high dollar R/O system that fed the whole property with filtered water.

Its a 20ft wide concrete tank thats about 20ft tall. When i climb on top to fix my float/level gauge, i know a shark isnt gonna jump out and eat me, but i dont completely believe that a shark wont jump up & eat me. I’ve been there 9 years & havent had the balls to climb in & go swimming yet.

Are the threads buggered enough to need a larger bolt?

Clean the threads out reeeaaaal good. Then when using the tap, keep it perpendicular. Use a little cutting oil. Do a 1/2 - 1 turn and then back out and clear the tap, repeat the clearing as necessary. Clean the newly tapped threads out reeeaaaal good again. If it won’t hold the bolt or feels loose, may need to upsize the bolt.

I can't thread the bolt in more than a few cm. I can see the threads are damaged. So I don't really know what else to do.

I don't own a tap set. Will it be obvious what size I need to start with?
