“there’s a sucker born every minute” has never been more true than it is today. And with 8 billion people on the planet, the odds are in the scammers favor. We have people at work that fell for the “email from the CEO” scam. So dumb. You think the CEO really wants you to use your corporate card to get some gift cards for a client project? NO. He doesn’t. He’s never even spoken to you before. Big dummy.

We had a training course that showed an example where scammers used deepfake to videocall an employee posing as the CEO and successfully transferred thousands of dollars to their account. With the creation/constant evolution of AI this will only become more and more common. As well as deepfake blackmail.

LOL, it's amazing how quickly they come up with all the snappy little terms like "spearfishing" "whaling" "catfishing" "malvertising" "smishing" "pharming"

Yeah, that's a bit scary territory. This shit is transforming/hurting the way we communicate. For me I worry about my 80yr old mother who is oblivious to it all.

I think as long as you get a meaty tire and 0 offset or into the negatives you’ll be fine. Rears will clear a 35 all day long if you cut, but the fronts still won’t. I did it because with the shock relocation I picked up a ton more travel. If you want pics I can take more or send you progress photos.

I can measure them for you. I'm pretty sure it's 106mm for the caps.
My KMCs are 108mm, my Konigs are 110mm, and my MSTs are 106mm but the front is different from the back...

The youngest one asked today, "Dad, what's a car that's cheap, fast, and reliable."

Input welcome. (I told him LS430)

SC400, but swap in the manual from SC300. Or turbo an SC300 for a Lexus Supra

Looks like someone put a stop-leak/fix-in-a-bottle product in the engine. Or someone was screwing around and sabotaged the car by putting powdered gelatin in the coolant overflow tank, or direct into the radiator.

My trucks trans did something weird today, while feathering the throttle in 80mph traffic, it got confused a couple times like it almost downshifted. Felt like it was in neutral for a quarter second, then would get back to overdrive and carry on like normal for a while. My best guess at the time was that the wind was gusting & i just happened to be on the edge of enough throttle to downshift, but when it happened the 3rd time or so i was back in the right lane choochin along at 65 like normal. Hopefully it was part of the computer ‘learning’ since cleaning my maf & whatnot. My weather app said it was only 10-15mph wind, but it might’ve been more effective cause i was passing a string of trucks hauling windmill blades.
