All of it is very clean. Unless this person does a full super deep clean detail after each outing, I'd wager a bet that it only sees paved roads.

Overlanding is more of a look than it is people actually overlanding. Like rich folk wearing Patagonia gear.

hi that’s me lol. I’m also guilty of keeping my truck cleaner than most, but don’t think for one second I won’t get rowdy with it. Haha

But my favorite thing to do is correct overlanders “oh you mean car camping?” And then let them struggle to explain to me that they’ve only been on weekend trips barely outside city limits.

I don't think it's legal to "overland" in Texas. All of our land is owned by either the government or an old rancher who will 100% point the business end of their pew-pew at you.

so when I see all the traction boards, rooftop tents, mud terrains. I'm just like

The only things in my truck that dont get regular use is my raincoat, umbrella, and fishing pole.

I’m captain overkill. Fuses, tools, tie rods, spare LBJ, 12 ton HF bottle jack, wheel chocks, full size spare, tire puncture kit, misc hardware, umbrella, rain jacket, chargers, jump starter, zip ties, recovery gear, and lord knows what else has made it into the truck. I’ve got more than gets tossed in per occasion, but I could probably save 1-2mpg if I just took all the shit out lol.

Ive been guilty, but that was a time I was going out of state a lot. Now it’s more about how much gear I can bring without bringing a ton of attention to the truck. I try to blend in, but for whatever reason this truck gets 10x more attention than my inferno truck did lol.

same. If im gonna live out of my truck for more than a day, i’ve got 100lbs of unnecessary junk i’m bringing with me. Tetris’d into nooks & crannies, so the things i will need mean i’ve gotta pull most of it out.

My sub actually eats up that space. In the rear doors, driver side rear seat storage (I don't have the factory jack or tools), and there's a bag in the bed with some of the other stuff. Tools are in another bag on the floor of the rear seat. Some lives under the passenger seat. I also have the center console not front bench so there's that too.

The only thing that worries me with our area warming back up is it kicks hail season back off.

3 moving blankets and 2 pieces of cardboard will prevent most hail damage. Layers* i have a carport canopy, so i only have to block one side. 6 moving blankets & 4 TV boxes if your driveway is nekkid.

When we get hail, we get full on Derecho level wind too. Not sure how I would keep anything covering the truck.

Oh my driveway is wide open. Wife's car would definitely go in the garage and the truck would have to take it. We got one stone just shy of baseball sized last year and got lucky, but we'll see. I've already got some hail damage, but kinda debating to let it hail out and go fiberglass on insurance money if doesn't totally screw me haha
