My old jeep cj7 came with a 60 amp alternator. I had a warn xd9000i winch on it that got used frequently for years and years. My old ford highboy also had a 60 amp alternator and a warn 8274 winch that would see frequent severe use.

That’s by design to insure you don’t have stale oil in there and that it’s always fresh.

Does anyone make driveshaft spacers? Like hub centric wheel spacers, but for the driveshaft. If i did a 3” lift i think i’d want an extra 1/2” based on slip-shaft wear. It might not be ‘timed’ right, but i might be able to add a belt pulley as a spacer, run one of those gm hybrid starter/alternators mounted to the axle as a small motor or ‘house’ battery charger. Would be cool to have a lever to a sort of rheostat to run it drive vs. load.

thinking about getting a 250A js alt. Wish there was somwhere that would combine 2 alts on the same shaft.

    $1200.

Trail Gear has a 1" and 1.5" spacer for 2nd gen Tacomas that might work. This might only work on the 05-06 trucks though since the bolts have a 66x66mm spacing.

I used to do a bunch of woodworking and I milled a big white oak that fell down in Fort Worth. I ended up buying a 394xp husqvarna and putting a 36" bar on it. It has like 7 hp i think. That thing can eat. I welded up a holder and then would ride it down an extension ladder as guide rails. That was some of the hardest work I've ever done. I probably got about 100 or 150 boardfeet of quartersawn oak though. I have pictures, but they're buried in the cloud.

Man the hammer drill is where I like my battery power, same goes for my impact. But for my chainsaw it's plug in or gas.

My OT got cut this weekend. So if you get back between today and Saturday, let me know if you wanna do your leaf packs. I'm going to start wiring dad's radio and backup camera today.
Maybe I'll have time to install my new kicker powered sub in Elvira.

I'm pretty sure someone makes a carrier bearing spacer for our trucks. Should be compatible with tacomas too. Not sure if this would help you. If thought about buying one, but my DD equal length x pipe crosses right under thete. Not sure if have the space. Remember how much of a pita it was to change the bearing?

Again, "setup" is pretty ambiguous and could mean a lot of things. You must be more specific...

@shifty` I found your Tacoma. 4 banger manual. I want it, too. But I have an idea. You buy the sc'd LT tundra in Florida, I'll buy the turbo taco. Then we meet near the Ms. Sippi/Alabamer boarder and trade trucks.
