Well, obviously :rofl:I was just trying to point out that the core requirement isn't that specific.

I've used and abused the same Stihl saw for nearly a decade with virtually no maintenance other than sharpening chains. Starts 1st or 2nd pull without fail, even after sitting for months at a time. From my cold dead hands I tell ya.

The bigger issue at play here is, @Sirfive isn't using an "wired electric" chainsaw. He's using a "battery operated cordless" chainsaw.

I'd never hammer-drill with a battery-op hammer drill, electric only, just like I'd never drill thicker steel, like a vehicle frame, with a battery-op handheld.

The higher and more consistent torque you get from a wired tool will always run laps around a battery-op tool.

My wired Homelite chainsaw is easily 10-15 years old now. Still runs like a champ. Just cut up a gummy ass Mulberry with it that was 16"-18" DBH a few months ago. Didn't skip a beat.

I'm pretty happy with my little DeWalt chainsaw. Great for light work. The only negative is that it leaks a little chain oil.

I had similar. My oil reservoir on my handheld is translicent blown plastic with a split in it to dribble the oil out. If the cap is airtight, nothing dribbles out. But the cap has an integrated rubber bulb, push the bulb and the oil squirts out the slit, and well, the bulb started slowly cracking after a couple of years, which let the oil drain straight out of the slit. After 2-3 years it would take a few weeks. It got to the point where it'd drail fully in a few hours, I had to leave the saw in a plastic bit.

Not saying yours works the same, but replacing the cap on mine with some bullshit scAmazon cap+bulb solved the leak-out issues. For now. I'm sure I'll be back to square one in 2-3 years.

This oak is the heaviest i’ve messed with in a while. Got the gulf coast water weight. Was trying to put it in the wagon so i didnt have to drive through the mud, but i’ve gotta unload my truck so i can get back down to houston & hassle my old folks.

Battery finally reset, now to wait an hour for it to cool off, then charge for however many hours.

Unplug the connector at the sensor and spray the hell out of both sides with contact cleaner. That'd be an easy way to start. That's how I fixed the speedo on my shitbox the other day and it's still working. It had a bunch of oil in it.

Gotta admit i was a little skeptical of my $160 kepworth battery & $160 topbull inverter. But hot damn, color me impressed. Only took a volt to do this, inverter says battery went from 12.4 to 11.4v

A corded chainsaw? That sounds god awful. I'd need a 100' extension cord to reach parts of my yard. I don't even like using my corded jigsaw or pressure washer.

    I have a long winded audio question @shifty` @bmf4069

TL:DR How much of a sound difference would it make on my 01 sequoia to bypass the OEM amps and install new speakers and a 4 channel amp?

I have a Pioneer head unit, replaced the stock jbl woofers with the powerbass 2 ohm woofer (kept the OEM mids and tweeters) and a JL Audio 10 subwoofer (W3). The sound is fine and I have no real issues other than I've never had a great audio system in a car and I'm curious. I replaced all of the speakers in the DC and bypassed the amp and that sounded good. In the AC, I left the stock speakers just added a sub and it also sounds good. In my T100 I did focal speakers and a sub and it also sounded good.

I know it's personal, but would I notice the sound difference and is it worth the money?

Second, question, the rear speaker surrounds are shot. I can replace then with powerbass 2 ohm, JBL 4 ohm either running on the OEM amp or aftermarket. How much do rear speakers really matter?

Last question, I have to turn the volume up to at least 30-40 out of 50. I worry that I'm running into distortion and have thought about adding a line out converter to convert my measly 2 volt pre outs to something higher. Does that really matter or is it just in my head?

Exactly. So I have to fight a power cord, the hose, and the wand. Plus I have to use an extension cord to reach most of my house.

the clip on’s are the bees knees. You can run the normal mirrors strait, & use the clip-ons for a bit wider angle. And they’ve been used with the sequoia, tundra, jeep, ranger, and my brothers doushemax.

So personal preference here, but I would ditch all the stock stuff, JBL or not. OEMs are out to save a buck, and sound systems are one of those places. Even with my cheapy Polk dbs with 50w running to them, the sound is crystal clear even at highway speeds with the windows down. And I only have the fronts, no rear small speakers.

Rears don't matter as much, as you want the sound stage to be front and present, but they do help. A good set of components up front and some coaxials in the rear is gtg. I'd replace them.

Volume numbers are just that: numbers. In my truck it tops at 35 max, and I have the amps tuned so it starts clipping at 30 on heavy bass. 20 is aveage volume listening. On my work truck, 10 is average listening. The Vic 35 is average listening. Once you do amps you can tune to be at max volume at about 75% of output power.

Shifty is gonna come along and tell me to stfu, JBL is awesome.

I had a black and decker electric chainsaw that I used to trim up a few trees and cut down a few smaller ones. I hooked up the 10’ trailer behind the 4 wheeler and loaded the generator on it. Then drove 200’ over the trees and plugged in the chainsaw. Looked ridiculous. Worked great.
