Don’t really see the need to spend money on an amp. I’m cool with a radio and speakers. My radio has a decent built in amp

Depending on how they went about adding that amp, replacing it with a working one may be your path of least resistance.

Anyone have a photo of an access cab rear door with the interior panel removed?

My rear doors are doing the things where the top latch won't click. I've cleaned and degreased in there but I want to attach a supplemental spring to ensure proper function. Too cold outside to remove one of my door panels right now.

That's a really nice amp, hopefully you can get it to work. Dumb question but have you checked if the amp has a fuse?

I'm actually very curious, I know some other Toyota models (Tacoma, 4Runner?) use a 6x9 or similar in some years, and I had my suspicions after seeing one on an auction site (SGW), it looks like it would bolt right into our AC doors.

Check the 30A fuses to make sure neither popped - this may be a simple solution.

Likewise, check the power cable coming off the battery. It should have an inline fuse too. It might have popped ... it happens.

Either may be a quick and easily solution to get working again with little to no work.

If not, everything you need to make yourself whole is right there. Given the specs on your amp, 4 channels, 88w per channel, there are a shitload of great options, and you clearly have a beefy power and ground there, so 99% of the hard work is already done for you, and this is an awesome opportunity to upgrade to a 5-channel amp and add a small sub!

I see the previous owner ran their own speaker wiring, so you'd want to look if you see similar speaker wire at the factory amp on the back wall, driver's side. If not, or there is no amp, I'd pop off my passenger side kick panel and look for those wires going into the door grommet, it'll be blatantly obvious.

I personally love JL Audio but I can't possibly expect anyone to pay that pricepoint. If you want something in the ballpark of power that adds sub option with all the crossover flexibility (take a clear pic of current crossover settings, all the dials and switches before uninstall):
I didn't run the numbers on those to check dimensions, just basic specs. I can't vouch for the Kenwood, but everything else up there will do you right and will be good quality.

Here's the thing: They've already run the RCA cables. They're run power and ground. They've run speaker leads. That gives you two options:
    1. Do a hell of a lot of unwiring to reverse all that stuff, then install whatever you need to get whole again (minus the amp), including pulling out all that power/ground wherever it may go.
    2. Mark your wires and photo of the amp settings, pop off the negative battery cable, uninstall the amp, install existing wires to new amp, and you're in business.

Anyone know what the two transmission lines running to the bottom of the radiator are called? Or a pn?

Warn recommends periodically washing you synthetic winch rope. I never knew that. Did that this evening. The dirt that came out, even after 3 rises, was nasty. Rope build date is 11/22.

    https://www.warn.com/how-do-you-mai...e=1&gbraid=0AAAAAqQLGAPl_LoYmUBSG_hsMJjvzpOnH
Synthetic rope does require a bit more care than steel. One of the things you can do to promote long synthetic rope life is to wash the line. To do this, simply unspool the rope, get a bucket of water with a mild detergent, such as dish washing liquid, and dunk sections of the rope. Push the rope together in the water freeing up any grit, then move onto a new section. Then respool the rope onto the drum under tension to ensuring an even spooling.

wind it with kinetic rope, so once you’re unstuck you can slingshot over the next obstacle.

    time!

    2.5 beer job.
    IMG_0135.jpg

Had to take a 30 min break to air up the golf cart tires and go check the mail.

gonna pick up some paint tomorrow, what color should i paint the ‘hubcaps’?
    IMG_0136.jpg

if this was a mod party half of the screws would have gotten dropped through the deck and this easily would have been a 2.5 case job.

Dammit this thing kinda sucks. Been cranked full blast for 30 mins & its barely over 200*. Gonna have to remove one (or 2) of the burner tents.

I posted last week my radiator box was pretty ragged from rock auto too. Will see how it goes. Did you get all new hoses too? I’m looking for the rubber hoses that come out of the hard transmission lines that feed into the radiator before I change mine out. I know they will crack when I remove them.

she bitched at the idea. I instigated, claiming i was gonna add a fart can muffler, and she said she’d have me arrested for vandalism. Found some side steps that should work.

might lower it anyway. And stuff a junkyard eaton m90 on it.
