no fireworks this year. But the neighbors havent disappointed. Cool front coming through, so the fire pit is glowing. Think my resolution will be to finish a project this year.

also we are new to Houston coming from KY. I fluid filmed my truck up there but don’t really see a need to do it here but we are right on the coast down here and remember back in corpus things used to rust from the salt air. Do you treat your truck down here?

Magnaflow, I believe is the one everyone seems to like. What ever cheap ones I got from the muffler shop do not make my ECU happy.

You said it's an 04 V8 T4R? So I think that's non VVTI with the 5 speed auto right?

I do not. Maybe if I lived on the water. But I'm about 20 mins from the brackish water and 45 from the salt water.

Those magnaflows are I think more expensive than OEM Toyota since they are one piece manifold/cat. I think we’re just going to put it up for sale. I’ve been chasing gremlins with this thing since day one. I bought it to save me from using the tundra mon-weds on my 65 mile round trip commute but I don’t think it’s worth it anymore.

I'd at least give the o2 spacers a try. Cheap and easy to do.
But if you do sell, what would you like to replace it with?

They aren't labeled or stamped with anything. Is that the standard size for these trucks?

Diamondback water snake. Non-venomous, hence lack of angular head. Good to have around. https://www.inaturalist.org/guide_taxa/494738

Edit: n/m clearly you found it.

Man, URD needs to pump some more of these out. I'd probably buy a pair if they were available. Just to have. Has anyone tried contacting them to ask if they'll ever make them, or maybe still make them but don't publicly list them for sale for legal reasons?

Walker, Summit Racing, Magnaflow are the brands we've seen folks have luck with. The suggestion from others here who've "been there, done that" is you won't throw codes if you get California CARB-compliant cats. But....

Listen to @455h0le_dachshund on this one. If you want to know if new cats will fix, get a spacer kit on the cheap, and attempt to spacer them out. Just requires some bolt removal.

You just need the one sim, it plugs into both sensor harnesses.
I did email Gadget about 2 or so years ago. He said the EPA crackdown post diesel-gate made them federally illegal.
    "Emissions defeating device" iirc

Silver lining... They will maybe make a comeback sooner than later.

Standard for many toyota/lexus (and honda/acura).

You can always check with a spare bolt or whenever you swing by a hardware store.

I suppose I could. I'd assume they fit, since they came with the new wheels for my Tundra.

After replacing the control arms, I don't understand how they adjust camber or caster on the Rav4. There are no eccentric cam bolts. Just a normal bolt that attaches to the subframe. No slot like the Tundra has where it can be moved and adjusted.

I believe they typically have one fixed parameter like caster and only just adjust camber and toe. Don’t ask me how for camber though.

Yeah I'm just not seeing any place to adjust either. Took it for a test drive and the toe is clearly off. The camber looks normal. Maybe it's fixed too?
