He and I had a conversation about this. I gave him the good and the bad about living here.

I hope I never live in Florida again. I really don't even like visiting. Love my family but hate the state.

I installed a cheap 5k chinese diesel heater in my motovan (2002 econoline e350 standard wheelbase) about 4 years ago. It’s a full on cargo van with zero insulation on the walls or ceiling, just cold sheetmetal. I managed to fit the heater under the passenger seat, and the heat blows back towards the cargo area. I’ve slept multiple nights in sub 30 degree weather in the back with just a couple blankets. And that was with the heater still turned down fairly low. I probably should have used a 2k (or is it a 3k?) heater instead, just so i won’t get as much carbon build up. The heater is definitely a game changer!

Damn shame about the frame on this one. The truck looks clean otherwise. And yes, Turtletown is a real place.

I can't unsee that truck as a Ford Exploder Sport Trac.
Patricks look so out of place on a DC.
They looked better on the DC 1G Tacoma.

They don't look good on anything but I agree they look slightly less horrible on the Tacos.

It's the wheels, running boards, and stock ride height that made it resemble that.
    So you're good.

I do need to get new glasses though. I've had these for probably 5 years.

I drove one of those new when I was shopping for my Tundra back in 2002. Well, either that or the 2 door, non pickup, SUV version.

No contest when I drove the Tundra.

Damn, Carfax really wants people on 6-month oil changes, eh? They tried to tell me I was 2 months overdue and expected I had 1,500 less miles than actual. (Dealership I bought the truck from gave me a free account with the truck)

My 03's fuel gauge is acting strange. It was showing a hair above a quarter tank on the drive him this morning from work. But just now omw to the doctor, it was showing just below a half tank.
    Weird :tinfoilhat:

It also is only at about 210 miles on this tank. So it was reading low it all week. Now it would seem it's reading normal.

Resistance-based circuit. Not a lot that can go wrong there, outside of wiring/corrosion or float failure.

My oil gauge has been acting weird for a few months now. I wasn't sure if they were related some how.

When my brother first got his buick & i was still living nearby i'd stop by in the middle of the night & add a gallon of gas every few days, & he was so impressed with the milage he was getting. & when i quit doing that he was convinced something was wrong & threw a couple hundred bucks worth of sensors at it. Dunno if i ever told him.

My friend saw this solid axle swap double cab this morning over in the southern oregon coast area. It appeared to have a 78-79 ford f150 HP Dana 44 front…along with the stock radius arms and some silly lift coils. I wish there was something good to say about the build?…ok, the good thing about this build is that it’s chocked full of easter egg fails. See how many you can count. I for one appreciate the rear lift blocks that are on top of the lift blocks that are on top of more lift blocks. The four rear shocks also scream that the builder has no front teeth (no offense to our canadian hockey player brothers).
