I appreciate the info. I’m not swapping valve bodies as after removing the pans I found that they have the same casting ID. They are the same.

    fun video.
I've learned some things in life.
The witch named table saw that requires you to think of nothing else - me focused is thinking about only 3 things. Best I don't dance with witches.
Wood hates me. even if I pre-drill it will split for me. If I cut it, the tool will be dull or my mind will drift just long enough to drift across the cut line.
Wood hates me. Wood will always fight me. I have learned to look down upon wood. Wood is dead to me. Wood is the pig slop of building materials.

Fiberglass - fiberglass is awesomeness. Fiberglass is artistic, strong, forgiving, raw, polished. Fiberglass is a material you want to hangout with.
Metal I have only met a few times, but we got on great. Metal is stong, solid, flexible, liquid, industrial, polished, raw. Metal is welcoming. Metal's "got your back 'bro".

Wood - wood is the pig slop in the shop. Even charcoal is superior to wood.

    YMMV. :)

I used to feel the same way but over time I've come to love working with the stuff.

    Heres my breakdown:

Woodworking-All the rules, no room for mistakes.

Metalworking-A few rules, wiggle room to fuck it up a few times.

Composites-No rules, feel free to laminate a ham sandwich into your part.

I was talking with a friend about building a house in Ecuador. Them telling me you don't need heat/air conditioning, concrete construction, blah blah blah.
I can't imagine doing a new build without insulating & heat/a/c. How can you not see the extreme fluctuations in climate? Guess too many peoples attention is buried in their phone.
I muddied the waters by pulling up (on my phone!) actual high & low temperatures & monthly averages in the particular town. "Oh". Telling me you don't need heat in a house in a town it gets into the 40's F for multiple days.

I was going to retire to FL but it's off the list - climate too crazy now & insurance competition too non-existant.
I'd decided TN was the better option, but how many years until it's like FL? Family history suggests I've got another 30-40 years until my expiration date.
I'm sadly thinking anyplace south of Delaware (DW) is poor long term planning. Shame, I'd looked forward to escaping 'the north'.

Crackheads wouldn't do it, but what I see is a ladder in front of that window (X's), pull yourself up that shorty rail of the landing & you're in. Of course, the door is locked with a crash bar, so really no point - but always fun to find the way around the intended security of anything. (Parkour did something to my brain - LOL).

Move to TN. I suspect, in the next few years, we may have a TN forum presence as large as our AZ and CA presence.

Did they do crappy work on your roads?
We had a bunch of highway bridge paving & now the truck sways-about on the crappy paving job where it didn't before the fix. Even around town the road work is just crap. I do better patching in my driveway with a hand tamper & wrapped wrists.

They sell weighted vests. Intended to calm certain folks with autism. We used to sell a lot of those to special ed departments. Just looks like a vest.

Not sure on the quality of work, some huge projects have turned to shit in a few years but most last maybe 10yrs? Yeah those fucking (parallel) water grooves in some areas throw you around like a carnival ride.... stupid AF. Some tires will navigate them ok, but most feel squirrely as shit.
I don't travel much, and try to stay OFF freeways unless its a long drive. People up here are fuckin nutz (driving high) airywhere.

Ps there is no such thing as a 8kw diesel heater, it’s a marketing scam.
I have an all in one 5kw but I’d like to make it into a case build with a bigger fuel cell like you pictured

Thats cool, I like the heavy covers when it cools off in winter.
I've never put a thermometer in the bedroom, but I KNOW its below 58, prob more like 55 on cooler nights.
I know with the fan running, my nose gets pretty damn cold, and any exposed arm or leg gets ice cold as well. You could keep my corpse in there for a while np.
Only trouble I'm having right now is maneuvering the 6 layers around with my fucked up shoulder.

When we got our first “cold snap” we got the house down to 57 leaving the doors open; we were embracing the change but that was short lived and the doors have been closed and night now

My understanding is that the 5kw are de-rated 8kw units. I've been wrong before though

Nothing like some fresh air after Winter/or for you hot summer.
So looking forward to being in a place where you don't have to lock everything down like fort Knox when darkness falls.

I’m in a few CDH groups and key words like 8kw gets your post removed immediately…… but your de-rated comment makes sense too….IMG_4402.jpg IMG_2705.jpg
They are cheap for a reason, which is fine with me because I love to binford5000 everything, so I’ve upgraded things that are known issues(fuel lines, power cables) I actually bought two because the first one didn’t allow for altitude adjustments in the controller. There are now so many knock offs of knock offs, Its hard to know what you’ll get delivered
