The xgauge code I posted is directly from linear logic. I emailed them for both the a340 and a750 xgauge ATF codes. The only thing I changed was the name code from TFT (trans fluid temp) to ATF (auto trans fluid) because it just made more sense to me.

I found the email with the a750 (05+) xgauge
    Transmission Temperature (°F)
    TXD: 07E021D9
    RXF: 032100000000
    TXD: 1808
    MTH: 00090005FFD8
    Name: ATF

@BroHon be aware in the email they sent me regarding the a340 ATF xgauge, they said it's been hit or miss. I didn't remember that part, guess I was lucky. Either way if you buy a scangauge2, linear logic is just an email a way and very helpful.
I think the scangauge3 comes preprogrammed though and has more features and bigger display

How come it’s not in their user manual or in any documentation? I couldn’t find it on their site or anything stating they supported it for the early Tundras (pre-2003).

By the way, just for S&G while dropping off the kids at school today in the 1GT, I fired up MX+ to watch trans temps. It took 16 minutes of city driving with a couple of straight stretches at 45 mixed w/some stop-and-go in 2WD for my 'trans temp 1' to reach 110, and 'trans temp 2' to reach 122.

I dunno recall which of those is the pan temp and which is the converter temp, I'm going to assume based on tempts pan is 1 and converter is 2, but ... yeah. I started flirting with 120° on 'trans temp 2' about 12 minutes in on the way back.

Outside temp was 46° when I made the drive, and the truck had been in the garage all night which sat around 55º ambient at my time of departure.

I was curious about this because another member (maybe @wildduk?) was asking about trans temps for fluid drainage in the last 48 hours or so.

On my trip towing our 5000# camper last week, my transmission pan temp (only one available on my 2000 I think) never got over 150 degrees. Outside temps were high 40's when towing.

    What's too warm? 200?

It was 17deg here this morning haha. Disappointing snow accumulation, a nothing burger storm, but I still got to roll 4 wheel all the way in. They don't salt when it's this cold so there was a lot of hard packed ice on the road. I have to remind myself every winter that I don't have ABS. That consists of a few strong breakings on my street to get the feel of when she goes into slide mode. Which after messing with the rear brakes can change.

This is one of those things where I'd Photoshop it onto the truck while it has a color-neutral background to make my decision.

It's hard for me to say for sure. The color of your paint looked markedly different on my smartphone to where I thought bronze would be better. But looking on my computer, on a larger screen, with all the green under/around it, it's making that sand paint color look greenish, and I don't feel like green and bronze go together. I think gunmetal or grey would get washed out. I think black would be bleh but could work if you blacked out the badges also. It's probably not impossible to paint match, I think that would be pretty cool.

Yes, no green & bronze for this build. Definitely painting it flat tan. I haven't fully ruled-out painted steelies w/black lug nuts, yet. Still an option because I really did have the armory look in my minds-eye all along, but, as @455h0le_dachshund pointed out re: Black Rhinos Armory wheels, heat-dissipation would likely be problematic. Not an ideal situation for an already weak area, in the desert to boot...

Yes, I am sure they make Asian parts, at an Asian company, based in Asian Japan, they manufacture the parts right there at the Asian Osaka HQ, above the 4th floor copy room. In Asia.

While Aisin is making their parts right here in Indiana. Why the hell do they call it Aisin when the parts aren't made in Aisa!? :monocle:
