I have a theory about the new 4th gen tundra.

In 2005-2006 when Toyota was getting ready for a complete redesign they sent my company new molds, and processes to make parts for the brand new truck. We haven't gotten any new processes.

So one of three things has been decided...

    1. My factory wasn't high enough on the totem pole. (Highly likely)
    2. Its going to be another update... like the turd gen. (Also, likely.)
    3. Reuse most of the same processes to cut cost of R&D (likely too.)

I thought shitting on the sidewalk is how you become normal in San Fran (my buddy lives there and HATES IT) he said it’s the grossest place he’s ever seen and can’t wait to find a new job back hone

Took a call for the plumber.........clogged toilet, yeah weird huh! From the rust stain left by the auger, I can tell the light bulb changer never finished during the summer, yet we moved kids in the room......
School starts next week..........it’s like the Vegas strip down there!! It’s insane.......and I love it!!!
I’m parked in front of a 10 story building built in the late 50s I think, it now houses some of the top talent on campus thanks to California keeping its schools closed..........thank you california!!!!!!

Thanks about how I feel about san fran too!

I don't know how much you should look into this, but I can take my 1st gen 1991 taurus SHO subframe, including engine and trans, and bolt it in a 2002 body. Literally bolt it in. Manufacturers don't change much between gens to save money, so yea, turd gens are actually 2nd gens. Well, some stuff does change, and the 2nd gen does have the 2UZ for a bit. I dunno. I think I'm just kinda drunken rambling at this point.

Turd gens are indeed a 2nd gen face-lift with a few other goodies based on my observations.

Regarding San-Fran? Pops was sent there around 2011 to do some training work for Toyoda on a new line they were setting up.

When he returned he always called it San Fran-shitsco from then on, and to this day.

I think the 4th gen will be just another face lift, and not a true "overhaul" like 1st to 2nd gen was.

Was in San Francisco (Ritz Carlton) in 2009 after coming back in from a B&B in wine country. First day there I said get me out of this place and called the B&B to see if they’d let us come back to finish our stay.

I’ve heard it was a really nice place years ago. Youtubes has some cool vids from restored film of the US’s larger cities. There is a cool one made a few days before the Big SF Earthquake early 1900.

Yeah. It was my first time ever. Stayed on the Concierge Level and drank all their Champagne $tock (Free in Concierge) after realizing I wasn’t going back outside.

Super nice service, but not worth it. I had just come back from a stint in Mexico the week prior living in Basic Desert Conditions. I’d rather stay in Mex than SF.

That and homeless people on stoops. There's a reason so many people have their steps in front of their places gated. If you don't gate it, your risks of walking out to people or people poop on your stoop in the morning is very, very high.

It's sad. Between the homelessness and people shooting up in broad daylight on the street, it's rough. One of our sites is in the financial district. Some of the stuff I've seen within a couple of blocks of there is just depressing.

Nope, where I live isn't too densely populated so I've been lucky. My AC has been on 24/7 the last 10 days though. My relatives in San Diego have had some dark times though, it sounds irritating since some of them work from home.

Anyone have any idea where this Intake Air Temperature Sensor is located?

Mine closely mimics the outside Ambient Air Temps when driving at speed. The IAT Gauge rises to 120°-130° at idle or stop and go traffic.

Worked AGAIN on my wife’s car. Man I’m getting sick of it! Rear driveshaft had to be replaced since BMW doesn’t build them with replaceable u-joints

wasn’t too bad of a job but now I need to focus on the truck:
Why does my coolant keep running low
ECGS bushing that’s been on the shelf since Dec.
    Transmission flush

Oh and a pic for ya’ll with me n my driveshaft!

Well, my wife are currently stuck. My truck will not start. No fault codes. I poured some seafoam in the crankcase before we left but I did the right amount. I can't imagine that would cause an issue. Starter is working.

It's normal. You're pulling fresh air into the intake while moving, once you're stop it sucks in more hot air from around the engine bay.

Well as soon as I jumped out to record and had my wife try, it started. But it sounded terrible. Could seafoam fuck this up? She's purring like a cat now.

You said you were driving on some inclines. Maybe your fuel pump needs a jiggle? Someone else had this happen during off roading and banged on the top of the gas tank where the pump top resides and it ‘reset’ the pump. Might need to fill the tank ASAP if you can get it started and get to Petrol.

On my 04 it's just open to the inside of the passenger fender. I assume they're all similar.
