This is why I want them. To get rid of my 333k mile injectors.

My 273k mile injectors seem to be working just fine, so I’m not sure there would be much benefit. But if I needed to replace, I would consider these.

I tow quite a bit, will they make that much difference?

I don't understand the how and why but the truck holds gears longer allowing higher rpm's which really helps when towing. Speak to the guys at dirty deeds, they can get into the details better.

Yeah, I’d prefer some real world feedback vs. talking to the widget salesman. No offense to them, but they are biased as they want to sell widgets. I appreciate that they offer stuff for these trucks despite the low volume of potential clients, but prefer to hear the real world experience.

I think there was thread some years ago regarding the injectors, I can't find it though. I installed the injectors a bit after my 100k service and fuel economy improved a bit and the engine just runs smoother and more eager to go. The trans shifts down quicker and stays in gear longer. There really is not much available for our engines that will improve performance, Cai may increase throttle response but don't offer much in power. The injectors are probably the only engine related upgrade that has any benefits aside from a supercharger.

Yes, someone has proven it's bullshit/placebo. And I tend to agree with their specialist, "Back in the days when injectors were 1-hole, it was a big atomization improvement adding a 2nd hole, and 3rd* or 4th hole, but the difference between 6 and 12 is negligible".

Now, it is entirely possible the injector 12-hole companies are using is capable of dumping more gas in the cylinder, but on an EFI engine, if you're not also increasing the air volume coming into the engine, the ECU is going to tune to the air/fuel mixture, so it (in theory) should negate the change too, eh?

There's also likely validity in recognizing many are swapping old injectors for new, which would have the 'butt dyno' vibes of some improvement. A clean, new injector will always operate better than old, which is potentially what anyone in here claiming 12-hole is better is actually experiencing.

Probably about as much as 4.10's would on 33's, if that makes any since.
I felt like the injectors widened my powerband. I don't think they actually made more power. That makes sense?

What kind of noises, and do you feel the vibration in the seat/floor, in the steering wheel, or ???

Safety first, check all lugnuts for tightness and existence, did anyone touch the wheels lately?

    Check driveshaft and test U-joints.

    Inspect carrier bearing.

    Check front brakes.

I’m afraid I may have driveline gremlins as well. Towing the camper to Table Rock lake in Missouri last weekend revealed some rumbling sensations in the seat around 35-45mph that seemed to be related to acceleration. I’m on original U joints, replaced carrier bearing with OE about 5 years ago.

We lost power for a bit (only my street, street next to me kept their power), but outside of that, everything was fine for us. A number of large trees fell outside of the neighborhood, but no real damage inside the neighborhood.

We definitely had plenty of trees down over here, but with all the long dry spells this summer, the trees were having a hard time keeping those root plates locked own after 2 full days of consistent light-moderate rain...

Friends staying at parents house down in FL on Long Boat Key not so fortunate. Still no power. Big holes in road. Cops not letting people on the island if they go off, so they have no clue how their house in Sarasota fared.

@FirstGenVol wtf are you guys smoking up there in KNOX?

"Some guys call this the unicorn"
    "Rarest Tundra ever made"
"Probably can't even find another one like this for sale anywhere"

Wow this guy is full of shit. I'm pretty sure this is the guy who's had the 'RLBC camper shell wanted" ads clogging up Craigslist for an eternity now. His truck is black also.

I've seen several nicely-equipped V8 RLBC around ATL on CL during 2023/2024. They're not all V6, but I'd honestly rather have a V6 manual in 2005-2006 format, personally, than the V8.

Well that video confirms what we already know about this engine, there are no upgrades to increase HP and torque aside from a supercharger and long tube headers.

I mean, you nailed one improvement dead-on. Regearing. It's always going to drive/pull nicer after that, especially w/meatier tires. Not a "performance" improvement per se, but ...

So, this morning while texting my wife I just happened to notice the auto fill/correct suggest "Sirfive" when I typed "si".
I've never typed that in ANY messages in the messenger app, or on the phone PERIOD, I've never even typed it on here in a message.
Like it had to have skimmed it off a reply I made to him on here. This is like the adds that pop up about shit you were just talking about.
Just another subtle hint how much is being taken in with every move you make.
This just confirms my decision that when I retire and hand in my phone, I am not replacing it

Basically, all forms of smart phone build dictionaries with popularly typed and/or mis-typed (i.e. user-corrected) words so AutoCorrect doesnt' drive you nuts trying to correct and/or suggest stuff for you. Same shit happens in Windows and MacOS. It's not necessarily a privacy concern per se, I mean, I don't believe it logs numbers or passwords, so if you're typing in your SSN regularly for forms, maybe it won't? But Auto Complete, for example, I mean ... it's gonna save what it's gonna save.

But yeah. If you ever browse this forum on your phone and reply here, and your device is setup to use AutoComplete and/or custom dictionaries, what you just described is absolutely going to happen.
