Yeah the MT's are just really prone to uneven wear so religious rotations help. Really? I rotate every oil change lol

I have K02s now and man, it's one loud ass ride for me. I bought the truck with them already installed. Hopefully the K03s are a bit more quiet on the ride.

I woulda scrolled right past the Vic if it wasn't manual swapped. Hell, it never would've popped up. We were looking at Honda rebels for my gf a few years ago. She can barely drive a stick, and yet she balked at the DTC ones or whatever they are. She said motorcycles are supposed to be manuals, and bought a Z650.

After 50k miles and missing a few fire rotations my ko2s just started making noticeable road noise. Thinking of going to toyos

It used to take a year when I only had one truck. Not sure now. Typically I'd drive em both at least 60/40. But I haven't driven one with any regularity in a year.

One truck currently needs a rotation, oil change, and alignment. I'm hoping to have the other truck back by October.

Has anyone put a USB charger or 12v socket in the backseat of our trucks? I actually use my backseat sometimes.

I guess here's a better question- Is there any keyed 12v that I could tap into under the center console?

I would just run a wire like you hooking up an external amp. Through the rubber grommet under the brake booster and along the door sill under the rug (or use an existing accessory wire in the dash). Either that or under the cab and maybe in through an existing hole underneath the cab. I thought someone here mention there were a couple.

I’d like to do something like this to that little cubby above the cupholders. Id just tap into the existing sockets up front with an inline fuse.

Yeah, that's one of the downsides to an 00-02. No full size console.

That photo of the 2nd gen is exactly what I'm talking about. Every time I tell myself "I don't need a new truck", there's something like that. A friend of mine has a 2023 GMC Sierra and the amount of storage in the cab and features like that is unreal. It's no Best Gen though.

It’s been about 20 years since I played in the Texas clay, but we used to go hard. We sunk this F-350 in a river and hydro locked the engine in this bronco. My square body survived, but I learned enough to know I don’t plan on ending up in any bogs with the tundra.

Pardon the photo quality. Pretty sure we took these with cell phone in 2006. I think I remember that F-350 was on 44”s. That’s me in the purple shorts with boots on. Livin the dream.

New tensioner, 2 new pulleys, and $850 later the belt system is gtg. DTCs in the ecu are saying something is wrong on the bank 1 wideband and a few DBW codes, which the FB is saying is a bad pedal sensor. I need to see what o2 sensor I have, and my pedal doesn't match the one on RA or from Haltech.

The other bad thing is I can only read the ECU. It has a password on it so I can't change anything or upload anything. Hard reset won't work either, so I can't download my tune, reset the ecu, and reload it. I did get the cool Haltech USB from the factory and some factory manuals. I'll need to call them and see what I can do about the password. Pretty sure I found a place in ABQ or OKC that can tune Haltechs. I'm SOL for anything here unless I do a remote tune on the street, but 4th gear pulls to redline tend to get up in illegal territory. I'll get it all figured out eventually.

Finally sold my mom’s minivan that we replaced with that 2nd Lexus. Man.

Purchased new by my grandparents in 2013, sold to us when my grandpa passed in 2014. Driven across the country numerous times. 28 states, two provinces. 180k miles in 10 years. Never let us down. Oil changes every 5k, ATF flush every 15. Two sets of tires, two sets of brakes. Four coil packs. One battery.

I like to shit on Chrysler a lot. But you guys, that vehicle was incredible. We beat the living daylights out of it. I can't count the amount of times we put 6 people, a dog, and all our stuff in it. Then hooked a boat trailer to the back. And drove it for seven hours. Hundreds of times it has been started up in the winter cold, slammed into gear, and hustled out of the driveway. It didn't owe us anything. Yet never, not once, did it fail us. It was faithful as could be. It did it's job. The did it again, and again, and never complained.

Hundreds, if not thousands of hours I've spent sleeping in the back of it, midway through Wyoming, or gripping the wheel tightly trying to keep it on the snowy road in the mountains of Vermont. It's been a constant in my life for a long time. More than half of my life. As much as I would complain when I needed to drive it- I loved that car. A lot. Never will I forget taking it down the mining roads of Red Hill, Colorado. Or sliding off the road and nearly rolling over in northern Wisconsin. Or outrunning tornadoes in Iowa. Or holding the throttle pinned towing up hills in western Illinois. I could go on and on.

It was an emotional moment in the CarMax parking lot. It didn't even get dignity of a facebook marketplace sale. I'm going to miss that stupid car. A lot.

People always bag on minivans, but they're not what they were in the 90s. Everytime we go to the lake and it's all of us, I'll rent a minivan. Now there was on dodge caravan we got that the Uconnect was so bad I had to Google how to connect my phone, and the last Pacifica I got had the worst input lag I've ever seen. Like, at least 1 second between flooring it and it downshifting. But the kids love it. On the other side of that, we got a Nissan versa once. I pulled out of a parking lot and romped on it and left 20' of rubber on the road. I was thoroughly impressed. So yeah, I feel you man. Minivans make memories.

We have a Honda odyssey as our other car and I kinda feel the same way about it. We beat the crap outta that thing. It’s also the car I’ve learned to wrench on. Never done much before it, but I’ve done solenoid stuff, alternator, power steering on it. Funny how vehicles imprint on us like that. Guess that’s what differentiates us from the salamanders.

It’s funny how Toyota is taking a different angle on the EV thing. The maker of the Prius - the king of all efficiency, seems to be just making everything hybrid instead of full EV. And dropping bigger ICE engines in tiny cars. I love it.

Our maintenance shop has a bunch of them from about 06-16 for our work vans. Between 20-75k on them but they spend their life idling, driving 5 minutes at 20mph, loaded down with whatever tools/equipment that will fit, and getting shut off and on about 90 times a day.

A bunch have random dash lights on but the bastards always start and drive. They've started getting replaced with Transit Connects so we'll see how those stack up.

Oh yeah. Don't get me started on the Uconnect in that thing. Just trash technology. And you're right- the worst transmission tuning I've ever experienced. Terrible gear ratios, terrible shift points, just awful. You could stab the gas pedal over and over and there would be zero throttle change.

Would lay serious rubber though. 280hp and FWD meant it would spin everywhere. First gear, second gear, even up to third if it was wet. New tire day was a lot of fun. I think a lot of people don't realize that manufacturers stuff big V6s into minivans. Our previous Honda Odyssey was fast too, and my uncle's Sienna is definitely not slow.
