I think it's been 16-17 years since I've had any cable TV of any kind :cool:

Yeah, I got it last Black Friday for less than $2/month, watched a bunch of Star Trek, Beavis, and a few random things then canceled. The only reason I have it now is Walmart offered me their version of Prime for $40ish a year and it included Paramount too. I order some shit from them so that price + the Paramount seemed worth it.

Oh shoot!...my buddy had that same (at least is looks exactly the same) Toyota forklift. I ended up "storing" over in my shop for about 10 years. It was one of the handiest pieces of equipment ever. It made it simple to do engine swaps out in the gravel driveway, load up entire cars (and other scrap metal) into the back of truck, load up 55 gal drums of oil, lift my 77 F250 truck cab off of the frame, push my jeep around, and change light bulbs. I wish i still had it.

my brother quit his netflix, and i got freevee, but managed to get the password to moms prime. But fuck me if a great premise gets ruined by drama during or after the first season. Bet i've gotten 2 hours all week. Not counting the 2 hours of forza or fallout4. I've got settlements & slow cars down pat. Beau's 6 spd supercharged vic has been my favorite for years, but i changed accounts to try and connect my xbox to the interwebs, so i got to start all my games over, and for some reason mars survival (sim city:mars edition) wont play without updating. Eff it, i've got plants and bugs to attend to.

My parents used to have HBO for only a few years. It was back around 1982~83 (i was about 7-8 years old) I haven’t had cable since. Only whatever basic public television my crappy antenna can pick up. So that’s something like basic television for the past 41 years. I’d rather be out in my shop wrenching or doing a physical activity anyhow, so i don’t feel like i’m loosing out on anything.

Well, if you have to drive backwards a mile or two on studded tires you sure as shit don't have cable up on your mountain peak
I've never even had an antenna to pick up local.... I have always had decent broadband internet though, that I wont go without.

I call BS. You're too old to have always had broadband internet. Hell we didn't get dial up in my house til I was 10 and I know you've got close to two decades on me. :boink:

Somewhere around 99-00 I got broadband... when it was only 1.2 Mbps (in my area at least).
I was in a sizable apartment complex and apparently I was the first to request it.
I think everyone else was running on DSL?

In 98 or 99 we upgraded our windows 3.1 comp for a windows 98 plus comp and got dial up and accessed the Internet for the first time

First was an HP with Win-ME, a horrible OS. XP was pretty good and I ran it for years highly stripped down and UI modified. Now run win10 LTSB (Long Term Service Branch for businesses, less disruption/updates that screw shit up) "modified", wife is on win11.

What kind of Alzheimer's trip are you 2 on this morning? Yeah shit was primitive and limited back in the beginning as is everything. Those were the dark ages, days of limits and basic data horror. There was a beauty in it simplicity, but stone age none the less. Glad y'all remember it more fondly than I do.

    You sun downing bastards.

Logging into BBS sites to download porn via a 14.4k modem in the 90s was interesting. Had to wait 20 minutes downloading that high res pic hoping it was something good.

I watched this funny dog movie on Prime, called Strays, when I crashed in your guest room. It was good. You and Polo would like it. Live action adult dog comedy.

MH - "MassHole". I just saw one of them 'driving' in CT yesterday. You can take them out of Massachusetts, but you can't take the MH out of their driving.

That's fun, but you really need them in a street rig - unless the accident was your fault, then you don't want one. :eek2:

never heard it before, but seems appropriate. We've got lots of them. We may also be home to the original "Karen", lots of them in Connect-ti-cut.
