I kinda want one of these things. Every time I see one drive by, I'm like, "Damn, I love it". And I rarely ever see them out and about. It's almost like a MKV GTI had sex with a Lexus CT 200h

That's stay my ass in the AC or the pool/river weather.

Summer is when I'm so glad I work the night shift. But some nights it's like 90°F still and 70%+ humidity

Gotta have a population to have traffic :p

No but seriously, that night I left your hood to grab Taco Bell in town, I really liked the little-big city vibes of Amarillo. If the location didn't suck so bad, I'd consider living there. :D

    Question from the peanut gallery.:anonymous:
ABS, what was the availability/optional status. Like I've seen up into 2002 w/o it, and also swear I've seen some 2000-2001 WITH it.
    What's the haps?

BTW, were those all metal bubble asses, or fiberglass like a chevy? Never had my hands on one in person.

Listed 9 weeks ago, and still not sold. I'm going to go with, "Yep, you're right", probably rusty as hell, and everyone who's come to check it out is looking under the truck to discover that then nope'ing out.

My 2000 has 4 wheel ABS. It’s always been an option.

I haven't dug deep for answers, but maybe it was part of "towing" packages?
My 2000 doesn't have it. It's a double edge sword for me.
I don't mind not having the complexity/point of failure it adds, but you better think about it when the snow flies.
First winter made me realize how complacent I had gotten with ABS in everything.

Silver Tabs!…lol. My Air Max 90’s that i bought back in 2006 finally gave up the ghost a couple weeks ago. The midsole finally rotted out. I’ve probably logged in over 1000 miles of running in that shoe alone. My second pair of infrared 90’s that i had on my shelf (since 2006 as well) just got drafted into rotation. The sad part is that the midsole immediately started to crack and split. You definitely can’t keep them on ice forever…use’m or loose’m.

Andre Agassi Air Tech Challenge! I loved that shoe as well. I remember when those were first released.

I used to be in the shoe scene back in the mid-2000’s. Back then if you wanted a pair of the newly released jordans, it meant you had to buckle down and stand in a long line out in front of a shoes store. I’d show up in line on a Friday evening at 6pm, spend the night in line sitting in a chair, then wait for the shoe store (Nike Town PDX) to open at 9am. I did that multiple times.

One time i wised up and got creative. There was a loooong line already that went down and around the block, so i had a buddy help me out with my plan. We both dressed up as construction workers. Orange vests, walkie talkies, our tool belts, hard hats, orange cones, yellow caution tape, laser level transit, ect. We started out making ourselves known to all other other guys in the waiting line by pulling measurements from across the street. We slowly made our way to right in front of the main door to Nike Town and set up the transit tripod. Then we coned off the area and told everyone that they needed to stand back while we worked for the next hour. The nike manager saw the commotion and came outside. He immediately recognized me and slowly shook his head, smiled, then walked back inside like nothing had happened. Yes i got my Jordans (and in my size). Pretty much all the people that i cut in front of were kinda angry, but they did respect the fact that i was creative enough to pull off the heist, and they found it funny as all get out.

ABS was optional on the 2000-2002 trucks. 2003 and newer all came with ABS. It’s easy enough to delete the ABS on the 2004 AC and SC trucks…it’s probably doable on the 05 and 06 as well? No idea about the DC trucks though, but i’m betting it is?

I remember the first gen taco guys on TW always talking shit about "ABS tried to kill me in the snow". So they would disable it.
