Oh, ok, good. One of these mods on here doesn't even have a tundra and one drives a Tesla. So I've been told...... And it's just a 2.5 gen these days. The real Turd Gens stole y'all's crown.......

Yeah, I discovered the Misfits at a young age, while downloading Metallica songs on Napster. At that time Metallica was my favorite band, but the Misfits took first place in my heart that day and have stayed there.

Just boggling how much driving that is. At about 250,000 miles now after 21 years. At this rate that would be about 63 more years to reach 1 million.

Definitely extraordinary to reach the 1M, however 250k miles in 20 years is pretty typical. That's only 12.5k miles/year. At that rate, a vehicle would need to be driven for 80 years.
Fun fact: 80 years ago from today, was 1944.
Let's say a truck was being driven 40k miles/year (which is a fuck-ton of driving), it would still be 25 years of that.
    Very boggling indeed

Now that I plan to daily the FGT again, 300k should come in the next couple years and 500k is possible over a lifetime. A million ain't gonna happen.

I've driven a shedload of cars a shedload of miles.

I'm sure I've I've broken the 600k mile mark, 700k mile, maybe 800k miles with all my driving. I'm really not sure.. but I am pretty certain, even across all my vehicles, I haven't driven 1mil miles. It's crazy to even think of my ass in a seat for that long, knowing how old I am now (more than half my life is over). One million miles is just shy of driving, day in and day out, for two full years, constantly, 24/7, no stops, if you were to maintain a constant speed of 60mph and never stop for gas. That's friggin nuts man.

True, you could be a real overachiever and do a solid 120 to get it done quicker.

I think that's a good average for hwy mileage, stops etc. would be 60mph.

I would agree, IF it were all kept behind closed doors. I'd say leave it there. However, when the YTer makes channel all about it and puts it out in public then people get to comment about it. You can get into the weeds about the comments and that, but getting irritated that people comment about something the creator themselves puts out there is a bit of a stretch.

Edit: I should clarify, I'm not saying you are upset that people point it out as you said you don't really care but are just observing. My comment was just another observation about how I've seen some people get cranky when that fact is pointed out.

"Talking about it" is totally fine. But "talking about it" is no longer "talking" when it radically veers off into "warning about" when no legitimate warning is warranted, "demonizing", "ridiculing", or "slandering", so I'd agree to disagree on the latter forms of communication I highlighted, mostly because I disagree that any of the latter fit under the category of "talking". Anything beyond "talking" tends to serve as (legitimately) a gateway to paint someone as wildly different, to the point of not being worthy of receiving any attention or merit. It's the fundamental basis for excluding a group or class of human.

People share their journey for a reason. Choose to follow it, or don't. Subscribe to it or don't. Talk about it all you want, but leave it at "talking" is all I'm saying because it's a slippery slope. The constant warnings, as if one must educate someone on someone's state of being, when - as you say - the content is right out there for someone to discover, understand, and form their own opinions without stepping beyond the threshold of talking, is pretty silly, borderline childish.

It's really difficult to crawl in someone else's head, and understand, "Wow, yeah, that's what's going on up there, I get it now". You literally never know what someone is going through. Like, I was readng a fascinating AMA-type discussion on Reddit a couple of days ago from a young woman who was born with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (CAIS). Basically, born with XY chromosomes, but because they have CAIS specifically, they present as a complete functional lady parts in the womb because their body won't react to or pocess testosterone due to genetic mutation. So, with no response to testosterone, they form all lady parts in the womb, despite lacking the reproductive organs (because XY, not XX). Without doing an x-ray, you cannot tell them apart from an XX female. I can't even imagine what kind of mental torture it must be to know you've got all lady parts, despite being born genetically as something else, legitimately, without surgery, this all happened in the womb, by divine design.

Not saying that's what's up here. Just talking, pointing out shit's not always black and white. And people don't need to fall over themselves to warn or highlight everything. Sometimes drawing attention in that way paints you one way, and draws special attention towards the subject of your warning, especially for folks who want to stand out, be a rebel, buck the system. Newton's third law applies to human nature also: Every action has a reaction.

If a dude cant be a man, they cant be heckled about it? In texas, you'll get heckled for putting beans in chili. Or having a lawn service. Or letting someone else wash your vehicle.

its not about the money, its about handling yourself.

I think seeing that as a "warning" is a biased lens. Look at it this way, if you've got a guy friend who is only interested in women and at a party he says "Hey, check that girl out. I think she's kinda cute" and you "warn" him that he's looking at a guy, are you "excluding and painting them as wildly different to the point of not being worthy of receiving any attention or merit" or are you just giving your friend pertinent info?

Same thing with that comment. Somebody said Sarah is cute and somebody else filled in a potential blank in the info. There was no hatred, animosity, or venom in the comment. Just information. There is exactly nothing wrong with giving the info. If the person changes their mind about the cuteness or doesn't then that is entirely their choice based on the info, but providing the info isn't an act of evil.

Again, I'll agree to disagree beased on two points: One, the scenario you painted sounds a bit contrived, and also apples to oranges (i.e. trolling for chicks vs. commenting on/watching a YouTube channel). Two, based on previous comments from the past in this very subforum (maybe even this thread) and some PM chains on the topic of that specifc channel and the not-unclear comments made. In the scenario you paint, it's again different, in that we would be unable to draw on prior commentary which further fleshes out the remarks being made.

Yeah I put about 95k miles on my Ranger in 8 years, 15k on my Taco in 1 year, like 60k on my other Taco in 5 years, maybe 1k on my T100 in 6 months, 60k on my Tundra in 6 years and 20k on my other Tundra in 3 years.
So I'm at approx 250k miles in 20 years.
At this rate I'll be 96 before I collectively hit 1M

So it IS bias because you're using past comments to color the most recent comments.

The scenario I laid out was an in person representation of the scenario that played out in those two comments. One literally said cute and the other literally said that's a guy, and then went on to say that didn't affect the attention or merit granted.

I love ya, shifty`, but it feels like you're trying to find an offense where none was meant.
