@shifty ’ I’m pretty confident it’ll all just come together. The hardest part would be locating the factory emblem since I was able to confirm the 00-02 emblem is smaller. Also the hood latch is different. Now I just wait for the junkyard parts to become available.

Yeah, it literally says "SR5" on the pillar. Plus there were no limited RCs.

cant really taste em, just had to cut the heat with a little sweet. Still a slow burn, but now you can taste the salsa for the 2nd chip & not have to run to the fridge for milk.

For comparison. It looks like the brow mounts are identical, those two studs/nuts. Whether the contour around the corner of the light is the same is TBD, I guess, and I assume the rest will fall into place? Note the rubber bumpers on mine. I'm pretty sure those are necessary for proper hood closure.

The truck I took pics of was in pretty rough shape. Shop that also built the “long travel” kit holy smokes….. there’s some JANKY stuff going on there. I won’t name it, but built in California and I recognize the “shop”. Bent lower control arm mounts cause the LCA bushings were wrong size, janky welds on the bumper, shortcuts and poor craftsmanship left and right.

edit** tangent haha. Yeah I caught the rubber stops too. Front end is missing some stuff which was pretty frightening.

Might take you up on it. I’m really thinking it just bolts right up. I saw an 03+ truck getting parted out that had an 00-02 bumper. Read a thread about it to. I’m just visual and have to see it for myself. Haha

I thought the issue is the trim piece above the bumper being no longer available.

Brother I am not here to judge someone who works on their own truck. I may delicately suggest constructive criticism, but this dude charged a customer I’m sure thousands of dollars to basically hack up a truck. That’s a fine line right there. @JakeJake makes this “shop” look like an alibaba special.

Rejoice! Brake issues have been fixed. Mostly.

I had adjusted the rear drums to be pretty tight, but before I had taken it on a test drive. Once I took it for a spin and everything kinda locked into place, they were wayyyyyyy loose. Tightened those up and it helped some.

The other issue was 100% my own fault. I straight up forgot to torque the front wheels down. This was allowing the front rotors to shift side to side when the brakes were applied. Thus feeling very soft up until a certain point- and then feeling firm. Gah. I had a feeling it would be something really really stupid.

They’re probably at 80%. On normal neighborhood-esque braking, they feel much firmer and grabbier than before, I’m guessing due to the stainless soft lines. However on hard braking they still leave a bit to be desired. They’re fine- but not amazing.

There’s also a bit of a vibration when braking- has anyone received untrue rotors or drums from Powerstop? It sure feels like they’re a tad warped, but I’ve bought powerstop stuff half a dozen times without any issues.

I still need to replace the parking brake cables, so we’ll see how that goes, but thank you to everyone that’s provided feedback or advice. Appreciate it!
