It's nothing compared to some of the patch collections I've seen, while riding in other people's rigs on the trails haha

I don't think i have any pics. This was way back around 2005-ish. What i do have is 8 other passengers who can collaborate who can attest to riding along. I even dressed as a chauffeur for the event. The fields were fairly wet and muddy, but there was just enough tack to get some good traction. The E brake on the car was a foot brake pedal that automatically disengaged when the transmission lever was in drive. And that meant you could stomp on the E brake and it would pop right off when you took your foot off of it. It worked awesome for steering the limo around sharp corners. At one point the track had a 360 degree circle that you had to maneuver through (marked with orange cones on both the inside and outside of the circle loop). I ended up coming in waaaay to hot and the rear end of the car spun out me. I didn't was to loose time, so i ended up slapping the column shifter into Reverse and cranked the wheel the other direction...effectively whipping the car the rest of the way around so that i was driving in reverse on the course. I kept that up the rest of the way around the circle, then on my exit i gathered up some more speed, hit the brakes just right, counter steered once again, and performed a perfectly smooth Rockford 180...all the while missing every single cone. Many jaws dropped on that performance. I wish there was video off all that hijinks!

Yeah that might be good to capture the wormhole research on the lifted cv boot options and clamps.

Guess I've worked on several 1st gen Toyota models over time. Actually I feel I've so much to learn from everyone about what I haven't done yet and some I have but could have done differently. Spent a lot of time on the LC forums previously. The bestgen has served me well and only recently needed a bit of work at almost 250k miles that led me here and really enjoying the fountain of knowledge and experience.

Good to see priorities of children and family!

Well, that got canceled. I guess we found somebody local to do it. I was really looking forward to 28 hours plus per diem for 2 days and to get away from this hell hole known as the VA.

We did have a successful shutdown this weekend. 12 on Friday and 14 on Saturday for a 66 hour week. I was dead tired going home and on Sunday.

Ha! No, just panel swap outs, but the VA acts like it's the end of the world. Teams meetings with these people is the absolute worst thing I've had to deal with. How these people can be so unironically stupid is beyond me. I say "this shutdown will only affect building 1". A voice comes in saying, "will this affect such and such in building 28?" I almost blurted out, "are you fucking serious?" And it's like this every shutdown. Minimum of 3 meetings.

Any gear experts want to weigh in on my differential gearing mismatch?

Current truck has 3.909 gears and the LSD I picked up is 3.916.

I've seen trail rigs purposefully mismatch front/rear gearing, and some trucks come factory with a mismatch in the 3 hundredths range.

At only 7 thou difference I've already made up my mind to send it, But any comments would be welcome.

This right here though, is the perfect opportunity to share some wisdom....

When you run into these 2 options, you immediately greet both of them w/a neutral, yet eager, compliment such as... "Wow!!!! You are incredibly beautiful" (it's important to note here that the compliment must be singular in nature IE>> directed at only one of them)

The one on 35s will without question be thinking you are talking to her; she'll be smiling and may even step forward to distance herself from the one on 31s.... The one on 31s will probably break eye contact and may even look away as she knows the one on 35s always gets more 'attention'...

Yet, as you move in closer, your walk directly toward the one on 31s and even make direct eye contact w/the one on 31s (completely ignoring the one on 35s); you extend your hand; introduce yourself and offer to buy her a drink....

The 'truck' on 31s will do ANYTHING for you as you have given it (her) reason to feel 'lifted', special, and even larger than the one on 35s by giving her (it) nothing more than your complete and undivided (distracted) attention (even in the presence of some 35s) :D

You have given her (the truck) something to brag about and even rub in her friend's (the other truck's) face for the next year...

    :nuclear:

    Good night folks!!!!

PS>>> Plus, that 'truck' on 31s, definitely has some crazy in it ... it'll definitely be a wild ride that night
