I’ll be going to 285’s in a couple weeks with stock gears on my 04 sequoia. Has anyone replaced their speedometer gear for larger tires to get a correct?

V8 4Runners without VVTI had it. You would need to make that ecu happy in your truck and run the 4runner engine harness. Then you’d have a 5 speed non vvti

Oh so it's the "fast one" that gets gapped by a CIA, FMIC, TB Exhaust and tuned SRT4 Neons.

We had a kid on of my ships who was just a bragert about everything. His shit didn't stink and it was the fucking best no one's could be better. Well I was buddies who had a sleeper as fuck SRT4, like I said bolts on and a tune, fuel mapped for 100, like 350 360 to the wheels. So Mr. High dollar started talking shit, so Neon said line it up where and when and how we race your call. Mr. Richy rich took it hook line and sinker. 40 roll on 264, need less to say Mr. Range Rover V8 Supercharged stoped talking shit the next day and the rest of the time I was at the command. Fucking cunts.

 

The lesson I learned from that is people that are like that are bad for the car community. Because after losing instead of coming to us hat and hand and looking for knowledge on how to make his supercharged vehicle faster and how that shouldn't happen to him again he just completely disassociated with us. That's how you can tell when people weren't raised right when they can't eat their s*** that they f****** started and learn from it.

 

Clowns, they are aplenty for sure. Thinking his big hulking SUV was any match for a compact tuned car, boosted no less, was his first mistake. Fast is about lb/HP. Less pounds is easier to make fast.

 

That's the day it was cemented with out doubt for me that built will always be better than bought.

Shit weld on a rear weight mounting bar for like plate weights and you got your self a engine and trans puller as well

 

With the timing belt maintenance taken care of I'm looking move on to suspension.

fabricate airbag brackets/u-bolt eliminators.

I plan to strip the front and rear down and remove the bed to cleanup/prep/paint the frame. Re-used parts-control arms/rear axle/leafs will get the same treatment and be reinstalled with new balljoints/bushings.

I have some of the listed parts, but need to pull the trigger on about $1k worth of stuff. What am I missing? Spend that on hookers and blow instead?

Do you wanna try the bushings in the control arms or just get new arms? I know you're a handy guy, but those bushings suck. What if, bear with me now, I got some new uppers for mine and you could have my Freedom UCAs? They're good, but not for what I need.

 

I mean we could probably work out a UCA deal, but I already have the ball joints and bushings.

I went with the black poly bushings from Daystar. Just melt out the old rubber with the torch leaving the steel sleeve behind. The poly bushings get pressed into the sleeve.
